Week 17 of 2024 ~memorable moments~ I barely took any pictures this week because I have been in survival mode. Bryce has been working non stop it feels like, and in turn I feel like I’m with my kids 24/7 with no breaks and it’s taking a toll on me 😮💨🥲 this is the last week that will be this crazy for awhile though- so yay for that! 1 & 2. Leam has been doing so good sleeping in his own bed. We’ve co-slept with him most of his life, so we knew this transition would be a difficult one— but lately he’s been doing so well at it! We used to have to lay by him til he fell asleep, but now we read him a book and then tell him we have to go ‘do something/take care of something’ and he is fine with us leaving and he eventually falls asleep on his own. We are so proud of him! 3. Lynnlee and her little bestie Navy. 🫶🏻🥹 It’s going to be so fun watching these two grow up together! 4 & 5. Leam is in his ‘bugs are cool!’ phase and it’s so cute. He found this potato bug at the park and wanted to hold it and bring it home— but I told him the bug would miss his family so we left it at the park (thank goodness 😮💨) 6. Lynnlee is so particular about some foods. I’ve cut up strawberries for her several times and she wants nothing to do with them, I handed her a whole strawberry the other day and she scarfed down not one, but SIX strawberries after that. She now loves them and wants them daily. 7. Leam has been wanting to draw a lot lately, his most recent work of art is this picture he drew of Bingo 😍🥹 8. ‘Bugs are cool!’ Part 2. Ft a worm that Leam carefully put in the dirt after I told him they love dirt. 9 & 10. I swear my handwriting was never this good until I was like.. 8. Haha 😆 Leam loves to write letters and numbers and started to write words without me telling him how they were spelt. He would just say ‘mom I’m going to surprise you’ and then would show me a word he had figured out how to spell by sounding it out. Leam has been waking up really early in the morning and he would begin his days by watching tv while waiting for me to wake up— which I decided I didn’t like him doing. So I told him he could either start sleeping more in the mornings or he could play with his toys or read books. The next morning he waited patiently for me to wake up and then excitedly pulled me into his room to show me what he did. He had put together all of the puzzles by himself. (He never does puzzles by himself) he was so proud of himself and I was equally as proud. 🥹 3. Leam loves playing teacher and he was teaching me and Lynnlee how to write the alphabet 🥹 4. Lynnlee on her balance bike with her new helmet. We thought she would hate wearing her helmet but it’s like she understands she has to wear it to ride her bike. It’s so cute! 5. Leam has figured out how to climb up the shelves in our pantry— so that’s been fun haha 😆 and totally something I did as a kid. 6. We were waiting for dad to say goodnight and Leam and Lynnlee fell asleep like this. 🥹 she purposely rolled over to lay close to him instead of next to me, it was so sweet. 7. With the help of my brother in law and father in law we were able to build our pergola for our backyard! It only took 13 hours 😩😅 8. I love reading because of my mom, I always saw her reading and so I took up the hobby too. And it looks like Lynnlee is following in our footsteps because this girl LOVES books. 9. Lynnlee is obsessed with her uncle Jesse, it’s the sweetest thing. She wants him to hold her and refuses to come to me or her dad when he’s around. It’s darling. 10. Here's a project I'm working on in my Minecraft survival server with friends. I'm really happy with how it's coming along and I can't wait to see the finished product. There are a bunch of other little details I need to work on in this build, but I'm happy as of right now with how it has come out. Somehow I even incorporated the lighthouse that I built last week. This build also has stables, a bakery, and a couple of houses. In the future, I'm planning on adding more houses, blacksmiths, towers, and a statue to commemorate my friend's horse that died.
