Walter Knoll's Contribution to the Iconic Weissenhof Exhibition in 1927 🏘️✨ Although not widely known, Stuttgart thrived in the 1920s as more than just an industrial hub; it was also emerging as a center of modern art. Students from the prestigious Stuttgart Academy of Arts, such as Johannes Itten and Oskar Schlemmer, would soon shape the Bauhaus movement. 🎨 A decisive part of the local avant-garde focused on modern living, pursuing an aesthetic evolution celebrating pure, unadorned design and radical simplicity. In 1925, when Walter Knoll founded his eponymous company, he too embraced the contemporary trend towards minimalism. His products resonated with architects, then as now, who served as the arbiters of style, seeking furnishings for the modern buildings inspired by the principles of Neues Bauen (the new way of building). 🏢 In 1927, Stuttgart hosted the legendary Weissenhof Exhibition, titled "Die Wohnung" ("The Dwelling"), which drew half a million visitors to the city. Organized by the Deutsche #Werkbund under the guidance of Mies van der Rohe, the exhibition featured 33 innovative and forward-looking model houses designed for modern, healthy, affordable and functional living. В первую очередь здесь чувствуется сладкий ананас с легкой кислинкой, на фоне имеются отголоски напиточности. ◼ Cream Soda. Не особо яркий, я бы даже сказал фоновый аромат напитка "крем сода". Присутствует легкая сливочность и газорованность. Аромат в большей степени для миксологии. В соло не особо интересно. ◼ Rondo. Очень ядерное сочетание перечной мяты с конфетным оттенком. Так же в соло не особо подойдет. В миксологии, я бы его использовал в процентовках не более 15%. Ich bin in Wien, dem bevorzugten Ort für Touristen: historische Bauten (z. B. dem eindrucksvollen #Stephansdom) und viele kuk (kaiserliche und königliche) Bauten aus dem 19. Jahrhundert (z. B. an der Ringstraße), dazu das Schloss #Schönbrunn und andere Repräsentativbauten. Ich sehe Wien auch mit den Augen der Sozialen Arbeit: zehntausende Bauarbeiter aus Böhmen und Mähren haben die glanzvollen Fassaden zu Hungerlöhnen erbaut, die kuk-Monarchie war auf Gewaltherrschaft begründet. Sozialpolitisch gesehen ist Wien auch der vorbildliche Soziale Wohnungsbau (z. B. der Karl-Marx-Hof), die moderne #Werkbund-Architektur oder #Marienthal bei Wien, wo Anfang der 1930er Jahre Marie Jahoda und andere eine Studie zur Arbeitslosigkeit durchführten und so wesentlich zur Begründung der modernen qualitativen #Sozialforschung beitrugen. Werkburn - Skalplafoi [2024] Walter Ulbricht Schallfolien (WULP 047) Werbund returns wet. Skalpafloi of this 2024 distills its particular and distinctive palette of metallic sounds that (together with its artwork) give us the opportunity to interpret or recreate the story of the German admiral during the First World War mentioned on the back of the cover: Ludwing Von Reuter (1869-1943). He ordered the fleet to be sunk to prevent the British or their allies from seizing the ships. The architecture of this record seems to appeal to historical sounds of crackling, rubbing, wear and heavy damage from those ships in that battleship... Wet metallic materials destroyed and forgotten… Dreamlike or unconsciously, the album houses a nebulous memory, like a worn and yellowed black and white photo... Projekt Hedwig Bollhagen “Kartoffelkäfer” z lat 1946-52 nagrodzony złotym medalem na Międzynarodowych Targach Rzemiosła w 1957 r. Dekor ręcznie malowany : czarno-żółte paski równomiernie rozmieszczone na kremowo-białym tle. Stan bardzo dobry, minimalne ślady użytkowania. "Hedwig Bollhagen (1907/ 2001r) niemiecka ceramiczka, współzałożycielka HB-Werkstätten für Keramik.Zainspirowana Bauhausem i niemieckim Werkbundem, Hedwig Bollhagen projektowała ceramikę począwszy od lat 30. XX wieku. Na jej projekty miała wpływ między innymi kilkudziesięcioletnia przyjaźń z malarzem i rzeźbiarzem Charlesem Crodelem oraz współpraca ze studentami Bauhausu, takimi jak Theodor Bogler i Werner Burri.Hedwig Bollhagen otrzymała liczne wyróżnienia za swoją ceramikę między innymi złoty medal na Wystawie Światowej w Paryżu w 1937 roku. W 2006 roku Instytut Goethego uznał ją pośmiertnie za jedną z „siedmiu najlepszych projektantów w Niemczech”. W 2015 roku HB zostało wpisane na listę dóbr kultury cennych w skali kraju. Tym żył Wrocław, Śląsk i Świat 100 lat temu🏬 Poznajecie budynki pokazane na tych archiwalnych zdjęciach? Tak, to modernistyczne osiedle WuWa (Wohnung und Werkraum - Mieszkanie i Miejsce Pracy, w trakcie budowy w 1929 roku) powstałe jako jedno z kilku osiedli wzorcowych zrealizowanych w Europie na przełomie lat 20 i 30 minionego stulecia. Ideą wystawy było zaproponowanie nowych rozwiązań mieszkaniowych dla różnych grup społecznych. Osiedle zachowało się do dziś, można je podziwiać na wrocławskim osiedlu Dąbie. Zdjęcia przedstawiają (zgodnie z ruchem wskazówek zegara): przedszkole, dom jednorodzinny wolno stojący, domy jednorodzinne w zabudowie szeregowej, dom jednorodzinny wolno strojący, dom wielorodzinny wysokościowy, dom galeriowy wielorodzinny. ART DECO OR BAUHAUS 138/995 DESK BY BRUNO PAUL FOR DEUTSCHE WERKSTÄTTEN HELLERAU, 1930S. The super rare furniture number 543/ 256 from the Art Deco period is part of a men's toilet from the 1930s. It is an original piece of furniture. Designed and realized in the style of Bruno Paul. The piece of furniture was manufactured in a high-quality sapeli mahogany design. Bruno Paul, architect, furniture designer and caricaturist, begins his artistic training in Dresden. In 1891 he moved to Munich to successfully complete his studies at the Academy of Arts. Bruno Paul founded the Munich Workshops for Art in Crafts in 1897 together with Bernhard Pankok, Hermann Obrist and Richard Riemerschmid. Bruno Paul’s furniture is inspired by Henry van de Velde. His metal objects have simple shapes. From February 1897, Bruno Paul provided cartoons for the magazine „Simplicissimus“. The publisher Albert Langen and the painter Thomas Theodor Heine founded a satirical magazine in Munich in 1895. By 1905, several interiors for exhibitions as well as the waiting room at Nuremberg Central Station were built. Bruno Paul became head of the arts and crafts school in Berlin in 1907 and worked as an architect in Berlin from 1907 to 1908. More buildings will follow. Bruno Paul is the founder of the German Werkbund. Bruno Paul is represented at the 1914 Werkbund exhibition in Cologne with three buildings: the Yellow House, the Wine House and the Brewery. Bruno Paul becomes director of the School for Fine and Applied Arts in Berlin. In the next few years he gained international recognition, particularly with the construction of the Macy’s department store in New York.
