𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 With the statement “form follows function”, a shift between function and beauty took place years ago, i.e. during the Bauhaus movement - there was an exaggeration of function. Before that, there was always a balance between the two areas in architecture and design - this balance is what we appreciate when we look at buildings from other eras, for example. Due to the higher prioritization of function, beauty has lost its value in architecture. I am firmly convinced that we need a renaissance of beauty in architecture right now, reinstating a balance between function and beauty. Beauty is not superficial; it has power and substance, benefiting us profoundly. Beauty means sustainability and makes valuable contributions to topics such as zero waste and life cycle costing. Roger Scruton expressed the idea that buildings that are beautifully built and lose their original function will always find a new function. A church, for example, which is a beautiful building and loses its function as a place of worship, will find a new function as a library, restaurant, office building, residential building or even a club - as numerous examples show. Architecture has a responsibility for generations - we have to think in terms of generations, because what we design and build today may still shape an urban space in 100 or 200 years‘ time. As architects, we have a responsibility for what we design and how we build. When I began to be interested in my ancestors, I called my relatives, found out everything I could and documented it in detail. I found some photographs of my family in my grandmother's home archive and created a collage of newspaper clippings from this photo. Since the father of the family was absent from the photo, he died during the war, I tried to fill this gap in my own way. Probably my project is the only image where the family is in full force. At the bottom of the work are written the numbers of those books in the archives where data about this family is found. Labour Day : Second artwork Photo Editing I was always fascinated by huge metal contraptions, huge industries, and iron manufactures. They remind me of mankind's improvement, how we made it from being peasant societies to industrial societies. This great leap of humanity wasn't to be achieved without years of hard work (engineering and workers). But... wait a second! Was that really beneficial? Did that improvement really solve all our issues? Are we happier? Well... for those who pull the strings and own the capital (company owners, governments, and politicians), everything is perfect as long as their wealth is increasing. For this goal, they wouldn't care about invading peaceful countries, occupying resources, overthrowing local authorities, and polluting environments. For workers, the situation wasn't better. They had to work for hours on industry lines, metal mines, petrol fields, dam constructions, electric towers, and stations, putting their lives and health on the line for low wages. This is how the industrial revolution shaped the world we knew and turned natural treasures into catastrophic signs. I’ve never understood what the purpose of these concrete walls along this path were. Any good guesses? 3. Caption contest, anyone? 4. Something that wasn’t included in the tour but I think absolutely should: architect Hans Richter’s 1926–28 modernist housing estate for GEWOBAG known as “Arno-Lade-Block”, a fine example of Bauhaus-inspired “Neues Bauen”. 5. I always love the colour and shape of this private residence whose design looks as if a child had drawn it. Simple yet sophisticated! 6. Some Latin to remember: “Sed fugit interea, fugit irreparabile tempus” (“But in the meantime, time escapes, flees irretrievably”). 7 and 8. A converted factory on the Erlweinhof compound that I haven’t been able to find anything out about. Any helpful hints? 9. Yo llegué bastante tarde a los Bauhaus, no lloré cuando se separaron justo antes de anunciar que iban a aparecer el La Edad De Oro, sino que unos 12 años más tarde, pasaron The Hunger (El Ansia) por televisión y quedé impresionado con la escena incial. "Esto tiene que ser un grupo real y no una cosa para la película", aquello de Bela Lugosi me sonaba. La estaba grabando y recé lo que supe para que no cortasen los créditos del final. Aquello fue en la era "pre internet". Me hicieron caso y puede leer "band in club - Bauhaus". Aquel texto me hablaba directamente a mí. Al día siguiente, creo que sábado por la mañana, estaba ya en discos PAT, y por suerte, tenían un par de Cedés de Bauhaus. El que tenía la canción era el que más canciones tenía (win-win!)era en directo . Press Eject and Give me The Tape... Magia. En Todos esos años mi zona musical de confort, estaba entre The Exploited y Bauhaus y seguimos con guitarras. La mítica Epiphone Riviera que encargué con puente Bigsby y que aquí aparece sin el golpeador blanco porque se lo desinstalé para llevarlo a que me lo firmara Desmond Dekker al anfiteatro de Maracena , Granada.Un festival organizado por Bonggo Producciones que sigue haciendo eventos como @reggaeclub.es. Alfredo "Al Supersonic & The Teenagers " me consigUió el autógrafo no volví a poner el golpeador en la guitarra hasta que idease un sistema para que no se borrase la tinta plateada que había firmado Desmond. Issey Miyake ss08 apoc “weather map” denim blazer Issey Miyake的APOC系列源自於對可持續性和環境的關注。APOC代表”A Piece of Cloth”，這個系列旨在減少布料浪費，實現材料的最大化利用。以減少浪費並提倡可持續性生產。它代表著最早將電腦編程納入服裝生產的案例之一。A-POC 系列它的特點是利用科技結合紡織技術，形成一個以單色為主的拼圖，僅利用一塊布就能製作出大量衣服這反映了品牌對環保和創新的承諾，同時也呼應了現代社會對可持續時尚的需求。 值得一提的是紐約現代藝術博物館（MoMA）收藏了 A-POC 的最早版本之一(slide 9,10)。 從以往的觀察下來，apoc系列通常都有著最瘋狂、最狂野的布料圖騰，且為了符合把每片布料用到極致的理念，所以時常出現許多不走常理的剪裁，這次帶來的spring/summer 2008 “weather map” blazer 就以城市的氣象圖為主題，覆蓋整件外套，布料的圖騰皆為在紡織時以布料本身呈現，而不是後期印刷，大幅度增加布料質感和耐用度，在下擺處階梯形的拼接讓這件blazer鶴立雞群。在布料設計上能看到卡薩布蘭加（摩洛哥）、達卡（塞內加爾），每個大圈圈代表著不同城市，在這件blazer中能發現大量的細節，且在國外網站這件外套甚至有到920美金的成交紀錄。 尺寸 肩寬40.5 袖長65.5 衣長62.5 胸寬47.5 價格 $7800（含運）
