Oliver is a young oppossum that is a new addition to one of our local nature centers 💜 He was confiscated by our local animal control after being found housed as a pet. Unfortunately due to poor husbandry he did have wounds on his feet and nose 😔 We prescribed antibiotics and medication for his wounds to help him heal 💜 Keeping wildlife as pets can unfortunately cause problems for the wildlife as it is difficult to replicate the environmental needs they have. *It is also illegal to keep wildlife as pets* We look forward to Oliver's recovery, and him living a good and long life with the nature center 🙂❣️ #wildlifeofmd #mdwildlife #opossumsofmd #opossum #opossums #opossumsofinstagram
