๐ฅฉUPSTAIRS AT THE GRILL๐ฅฉ๐ฅ Wow! Just wow! What a place @upstairsatthegrill is. It's definitely one of the greatest places we have been to. We are in the historical Roman city of Chester! And we are enjoying the new lunch menu from @upstairsatthegrill on first impressions, we were impressed! The interior is dark, elegant yet quirky, and has that golden age New york city gatsby vibe. We were greeted by the staff and shown around as if it was their own home. The main menu was extensive and even has a diagram to help you decide which cut of meat you would like, which is very helpful. But we were there for the new lunch menu! So we focused on that. We got a juicy steak sandwich, a chicken ceaser salad, salt n pepper onion rings, mac n cheese and some fries ๐ everything was so perfectly done in every way! I couldn't fault it. For dessert, we got the creme brulee and the "golden delicious" which was a big apple, made of white chocolate shell, apple and white chocolate parfait with a gooey apple centre ๐ @upstairsatthegrill found out it was my birthday so went out of their way and made this lunch extra special! The Bakehouse West Kirby ๐ฅฐ My husband & I had a lovely walk around West Kirby's Marine Lake on a beautiful Spring day & came across @thebakehousewest on Banks Road. There are so many gorgeous little cafes & restaurants along Banks Road, its actually one of my favourite roads to stroll down ๐ On this particular day, @thebakehousewest caught my eye. The selection of bakes & cakes here is unreal, there is so much choice!! And the sandwiches are incredible. I chose the 4 C's - Roast chicken, Chorizo, Chipotle slaw & Emmental cheese on sourdough which was perfect. A jam packed, very well put together sandwhich! That Chipotle slaw just finished it off beautifully ๐ My husband chose the Cuban - Roast pork, Baked ham, Mayo, Emmental cheese, Pickles, Slaw & Mustard. This was also super tasty and jam packed. Again this slaw was delicious ๐ Washed down with an iced coffee with coconut milk & a oat flat white. A lovely little place. The Sparrowhawk ๐ซถ Throwback to Easter when we went for a family meal at the @sparrowhawkformby I went for the pie and a Mocha and Mr Nommie went for the beef. The little flapjack on the side of the coffee was a really cute touch! I enjoyed my main, the mash was really creamy but the pastry on the pie was well too thick for me. It was a bit of a struggle to eat it. Mr Nommie Foodie loved his main, we don't eat a lot of beef at home so, it's a real treat for him when we go out! Myself and a friend after work went to @pizzapunksofficial - I found a @livconfidential voucher for there. It was spend ยฃ15 and get ยฃ30 so, it only cost ยฃ7.50 each. The staff were lovely but I wasn't impressed with the food. It was okay, nothing that made me go wow. This was a spicy chicken pizza, and to my horror, they didn't do tomato sauce ๐คช That's just personal taste though. I felt like there wasn't much flavour bar spice. A pizza crust is normally mourish, but I ended up taking some of it home for the other half. Would I go back? No, I personally wouldn't. I'm glad I got the voucher as it was great value for ยฃ7.50 but, I'd rather go somewhere else for a nicer pizza. Mini Nommie Foodie is weaning, and I'm trying to make an effort for him to try different things. I came across a recipe from @tescofood that used everything I had in the fridge/freezer for pinwheels. I used frozen mushrooms, ham, cheese, and puff pastry. I added some herbs too, but added no extra salt for the main man. After 20 mins in the oven, they were super crispy, and once cooled, he enjoyed munching! I'd definitely make these again as there were plenty left over for freezing. ๐ท๐ฅSTOKE at RED RADISSON๐ฅ๐ท for this weeks Sunday session, we were kindly #invited by one of liverpools top chefs @christina_konstantopoulou_chef to one of liverpools most stunning venues, @stokeliverpool @stokeliverpool is in the most perfect location if you are visiting the city. It's situated inside the superb @radissonredliverpool which is right next to Liverpool Lime Street and directly opposite St. George's Hall. After a little snoop around the hotel lobby, we then continued onto what we were really there for...the Sunday roast ๐ @christina_konstantopoulou_chef is well known amongst the liverpool food scene and is a super talented chef. So we knew this was going to be good. We quickly decided on going for the '3 courses for ยฃ25.95' because you can not argue with that value! To begin, we had the homemade sausage roll with caramelised red onion chutney and the sautรฉed mushrooms on sourdough. For mains, we, of course, went for the roast dinner, one lamb shoulder, and one gammon roast. For dessert, we had a pistachio cheesecake and the tiramisu. As expected, everything was top tier ๐๐ป every part of the menu was done to perfection! The choice, the portion, the quality, and the taste ๐คค unbelievable. The service you could not fault as everyone was welcoming and could not do enough for you. It's such an amazing place, and for that deal, it's an absolute steal!
