All of my souvenirs from this Euro trip are yarn 🧶😂 I ventured out today to check out @all_you_knit_is_love , a cute yarn shop in the Ciutat Vella area of Barcelona just a short walk from the Jaume I metro station. They have many beautiful yarns but the mustard color of their k2tog yarn caught my eye as soon as I walked through the door. I haven’t decided what I’m going to make yet but I’m leaning towards a tunisian crochet pattern. #Rhinebeck photo dump! I didn’t take many pictures because I was having so much fun and forgot to pull out my camera🙃 Here are a few that I captured 🤎 1. & 2. My outfit for Saturday! I wore the #koiturtle sweater by @gingko.be . (I used the #merifine yarn from @weareknitters in the color salmon) My jacket was embellished with various pins I’ve collected ❤️ My bag was made using the 3mm braided cotton cord from @hello_bobbiny ) 3. & 4. We explored the areas near the festival and found the cutest yarn shop in Saugerties, NY called @perfectblendyarnshop 🧶 The shop is so cute and the staff there were so kind! It was full of people in town for the various fiber festivals so we didn’t stay long. 5. - 8. NYSW Day 1. I was so overwhelmed 😂 There was so much to see and so many wonderful vendors. Random fact: this bag weighs 3 lbs 🙃 finished size: 15”L x 5”W x 16”H(not including the straps; the height of the straps is 13”.) I really enjoyed making this bag and I do plan to make it again very soon. Im going to use a dk weight yarn for the next one and make no other adjustments to the pattern. Experimenting with different fibers for a new project🧶🍋 The swatches were both crocheted using the same pattern. The only differences are the fiber used and the hook size. bigger swatch - 2mm braided cotton cord & 4.5mm crochet hook smaller swatch - worsted weight cotton yarn & 3.5mm crochet hook I really like both swatches so I may write up this pattern with instructions for both. Ive completed the first 40 rows and have 35 more to go until I split for the front and back panels. Got some 3mm braided cotton cord from @adelaidehillsyarnco today and made 2 more market bags with the @yarnth3ory pattern. The teal one was a nightmare because I did it a bit bigger and I ran out of yarn 3/4 of the way through the handles! So I had to pull that and decided to use leftover avocado for the handles instead. And I got all confused using the pattern because the handles wouldn't match. I tried 3 times before I remembered I'm an idiot and that I'd made it bigger so had to recount and got it right in the end. Although the avocado bag still didn't come out even, even though I did the pattern exact! Fairly typical for me really. But I love them anyway! I followed a pattern by @yarnth3ory and made a market bag!! I used thinner yarn so the size is different. Plus I added more stitches and rows to it. She says it takes about 45 minutes to do. It took me about 6 hours!! 🤣🤣 I'm a super slow stitcher clearly. But im so happy with how it turned out.
