I remember the day on which I posted my very first post here. It was on May 27th, 2021, exactly one year ago today. I was almost done with school. A few days later I would go on to graduate college and assure my entry in University in Fall 2021. Anyway, I remember that it was a warm yet refreshing day with an ocean blue sky that forbade clouds to be seen for kilometers on end. Isn’t that fitting? It truly was a sign of things to come for the next year of my life. Now, everytime I gaze at the starlit sky, I see people who appreciate me, respect me and repeatedly take the time out of their days to give me one of humanity's greatest gifts: friendship and all of its related themes. Everytime I look at that same starlit sky, I concede that it is sometimes concealed by city lights, my personal struggles, chunks of smog, pieces of existential crisis, or, perhaps, dark clouds moving across the horizon. One night, where said dark clouds of bleakness happened to stroll before me, I looked on at what remained of the sky. Why is it this way? Does it have to be this way? Why would one want it this way for oneself? When would this maelstrom of emotions cease? While these thoughts roamed freely in my mind, I caught a glimpse of a dissolving mass of darkness right before me with both of my skeptical eyes. I was only at that moment that skepticism turned to awe and wonder. I hadn’t seen or even dreamed to see the complete and undeniable beauty of a starlit sky aided by its soothing moonlight without any interference. From this night onwards, the celestial vista remained clear and free from malignant outside forces. So, as most of you guys may have heard, @scottsaep is no more. To say that I'm heartbroken is an understatement. Even though the writing was on the wall, this still hits hard. I remember when I first took a peek in the fandom back in April 2021 and her account was one of the very first things that I came across. In fact, it wasn't even named @scottsaep yet, it was named @ad0rescott or something along those lines. Anyway, those of you who took the time to get to know Nais know that she is an unbelievably sweet person. She always finds a way by bring joy into one's heart and life. This does not even begin to mention her off-the-charts editing skills. Like, whoever has the chance to be edited by her is fundamentally lucky. While those news are one that are heartbreaking to report and write about, I think Nais left a legacy that will remain unmatched for years to come. I think we can all look back with great pride at what she did for us for a little over 2 years. Today marks The Prodigy's 3rd anniversary! For those of you who do not know, The Prodigy was my first encounter with the undeniable talent of Jackson! I did not see the movie on its release. I saw it for the first time back in either September or October of 2020. This is where my appreciation, my admiration and my limitless respect towards Jackson began. I remember being overwhelmingly impressed by his performance. I could tell that this was the start of something great (which is going to be even greater. I.E Locke & Key Season 2) This movie is the earliest development of the eventual creation of this account. To talk about the movie, while I agree to the fact that it doesn't push the boundaries of the style very much, but it sure is a film jam-packed with awesome moments, scares (very creative and surprising ones) and thrilling elements. Oh, and Miles; he's a badass! When he's not being a badass, you can get attached to him so easily. That reminds me of the scene where the first staring contest happens. That scene is wholesome to its crescendo. This movie's depiction of mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and/or bipolar disorder is, I think, an under-appreciated one! Hi, guys! Long time no see! Today, I want to give you guys an update about what is and has been going on with me ever since the beginning of 2022. This account has been basically dead silent ever since 2022 came around. I have some explanations for y'all about my recent silence. First of all, I am doing somewhat fine despite what I am about to tell you in the following sentences. To be totally honest, however, I feel exponentially better than I did just a week ago. Now, what happened to me during my inactivity? So, I won't go into too many details here, but I have been dealing with a very close relative of mine's alcoholism. That issue has been on my radar since May 2020, but, on January 2nd, 2022, it escalated to a whole new world of horror. I cried myself to sleep every night up until about 2 weeks ago. As you may imagine, it was anything short of traumatic. To give you an idea, that relative of mine was blackout drunk before I had even woken up that morning. So, yeah, that's the super short version of the events. If I had to describe what it's like to deal with the situation I am currently in, I would say something along the lines of "It's like trying to make a blind man see, trying to make a deaf man hear, or, perhaps, trying to make a madman think". Now, you guys don't need to worry about me! I am in good hands regarding my mental health. My school has a 24/7 mental health hotline and any help or resources I need for little to no cost. Another factor that helps me is the fact that I am back at my apartment. I am no longer where the chaos ensued. I can forget about this whole thing way more easily. Mental health-wise I am progressing nicely. There is a long road ahead, but I am willing to go through the obstacles that stand on my path towards a happier life and my full-on return to the best fandom in the world! ⬇️Read the caption⬇️ So, on December 12th 2021, we had our hearts torn apart due to the news that @jackson.robert.scott62 would be deleted just before the end of the year. I still can't quite shake off the feeling of brokenness I felt when I first heard those news. Matteo always has been and will always be a great friend of mine. He did so, so much for me, even before we actually met. Seeing him go leaves a gaping void for which there is no way to fill. Everyone will feel this loss in one way or another. While it is a sad day for all of us here in the JRS fandom, we can only respect Matteo's decision and wish him the best in the paths he will take, the experiences he will live through and the life he will build for himself. I will support him no matter what happens. He moves on to a different journey, but life is all about changes, growth and new experiences. In life, not only is change expected, but it's desirable. Over the past few months, I noticed that we are a very ethnically diverse group of people. What do I mean by that? People here in the fandom come from all over the world. When I first got here back in May, I was happily surprised at how many of you guys are from Europe! Not only does our fandom have so much cultural diversity, but we all bond together seamlessly regardless of that! We are basically proving that xenophobia is not an instinct, but is in fact a choice. I think that's something that makes us all stronger together. Also, ethnical diversity makes it so that there is a wild variety of perspectives. That's what makes this fandom as magical as it is! The benefits of this variety of backgrounds and cultures are borderline insane. I started to learn 2 new languages ever since I joined the fandom! First, back in June, I started learning Spanish with Duolingo and the amazing advice of @jackson_the_god_of_acting_ . I am very happy with where I've come regarding Spanish. I can understand it pretty well in the writing even if I do look up things at times and I can come up with half-decent sentences of my own. I also very recently started learning Italian, again, with Duolingo but, this time, I am very fortunate to have @jacksonthecutest helping me along on this journey! I am just starting out, so I haven't really had the chance to reflect much on Italian, but she is so generous for lending me a helping hand whenever I need it (and I will)! If you wish to learn about a language or a culture, ask a person to tell you about their first tongue or the culture they are surrounded with! Chances are that they will accept with arms wide open! I know this is not a strictly Jackson-related post, but look at what I got in the mail today! For those of you who may not know, I am a bookworm and I have been ever since the beginning of the pandemic back in March 2020.I already read the very first chapter and I love this book already (you can guess what happens in the first chapter, sadly). This behemoth of a book has 1153 pages so, I can't wait for the ride ahead! If people want to know, yes the book is slightly different from the movie adaptation. Furthermore, there is more explaination on details that would have been extremely hard to represent ergonomically in a movie.
