Remember a couple years ago when I had surgery to remove a mole on my eyelid and it was benign? Well, I had a growth that I not-so-affectionately named Gertie. Gertie was basal cell carcinoma, right on the top of my head. My dermatologist took what she could off in the office but I had to have surgery to remove the rest of her. I had that surgery on Thursday. I have 8 stitches and some swelling but I am pleased to say that Gertie is gone. Thank goodness.
