Since I was about 8 years old I felt a call on my life to make a difference in this world to do good. I did run from this many times, thinking I wasnt good enough or felt embarrassed about choosing to do good. After all who the heck am I?? I gave up running, I have given up hiding and have truly embraced what my love am passion is. I feel excited, I feel thrilled that I can mix photography into helping and seeing others. WHY LONDON ??? with over 200 DTS locations to choose from, you might’ve wondered why I picked London specifically. I found out about YWAM when I was was 14, hearing about someone I knew doing a DTS. the idea intrigued me as I felt the nudge to pursue something more than college straight out of high school. I began to pray over it as I looked at the map of locations on the YWAM website (all the while knowing I couldn’t even entertain the thought of getting involved for a few more years). At some point in the time between then and now I recall hearing someone talk about how God can reveal certain specifics of your calling in your childhood. Instantly I remembered my random fascination with London that I had around 3rd grade. I started praying over that little thought that popped into my mind. After TONS and TONS of prayer and waiting on God’s direction (because I knew I wasn’t even going to try to pick a location on my own) I felt like I should keep the whole London thing close in my mind. Then I started to see it everywhere. For weeks (you can see on the 2nd picture how I write the occurrences down in my notes, but there were many times when this happened and I didn’t write it down) I would see London in my everyday life. Whether it was on TV, in ads, written on clocks at the craft store (???); everyday I could count on this sight taking me by surprise. STOP SCROLLING!!! I’ve chosen to attend a YWAM DTS (Youth with a mission, Discipleship Training School) in Lausanne Switzerland. Starting July 2nd, I’ll be living in Switzerland for 3-4 months diving into the word, meditating on the Lord’s promises, and learning what it means to truly serve others. The next two months I’ll spend traveling the Nations and Northern Africa doing outreach mission work. I have 7 and a half months to raise my funding. My goal is $10,000.
