Φέτος, μετά από 9 χρόνια αδιάλειπτης παρουσίας των προϊόντων του Βορείου Αιγαίου στην “ΕΞΠΟΤΡΟΦ”, η Π.Β.Α. ανταποκρίθηκε άμεσα στην ιδιαιτέρως τιμητική πρόταση των διοργανωτών, για παρουσίαση των ξακουστών αποσταγμάτων των νησιών, μαζί με τα φημισμένα τυροκομικά προϊόντα και τους συνοδευτικούς ουζομεζέδες, που καθιστούν τη γαστρονομία τους έναν από τους σημαντικότερους θησαυρούς του Βορείου Αιγαίου. Καλά Χριστούγεννα κι ένα χαρούμενο, δημιουργικό με μπόλικο πλέξιμο 2024! Σε λίγες μέρες το 2023 θα είναι παρελθόν. Αυτή τη χρονιά, που είχε και απίστευτα δύσκολες αλλά και εξαιρετικά όμορφες στιγμές, ήταν αρκετές οι φορές που ξαναγύριζε το μυαλό μου στο νησί και την ηρεμία του. Μέσα από ένα συνεχώς εναλλασσόμενο τοπίο, χρειάστηκαν περίπου 6.30 ώρες πεζοπορίας και 26 χιλιόμετρα για να πάω και να επιστρέψω, από το πιο ιδιαίτερο σημείο που έπλεξα φέτος. Σίγουρα όχι γνωστός και προσφιλής τουριστικός προορισμός, το καλοκαίρι αλλά ούτε και τον Μάϊο. Όταν έβγαλα το νήμα και το βελονάκι χρειάστηκε να ζεστάνω λιγάκι τα χέρια μου λόγω υγρασίας, πριν ξεκινήσω το πλέξιμο. Έπλεξα μερικές σειρές στην απόλυτη ησυχία, φυσούσε κι η χαμηλή νέφωση έκανε να μοιάζει ότι βρίσκομαι σε μεγάλο υψόμετρο ενώ στην πραγματικότητα ήμουν λίγα μέτρα πάνω από τη απέραντη θάλασσα που απλωνόταν μπροστά. My artistic mother Thalia Zervas never stops creating. She is currently working on a project that she started in 1996 to reconstruct a clay model of the town that she roamed as a child and adolescent. Her tiny Greek island birthplace, Agios Efstratios is just an hour south of Limnos in the Northeast Aegean. Sadly, on 19 February 1968, an earthquake (7.1 on the Richter scale) demolished all but a few of the houses on the mountainside by the port. These uniquely stylised housed were subsequently replaced by concrete prefabricated houses. She remembers every street and every building as it once was in the 1950’s and 60’s. She is there now, constructing it with found materials. I am so proud of her and wish to let other people from my island know the amazing work she is doing. #Flotillachronicles #Day6 Lemnos - Thassos After a traditional crew meeting in the morning, X Bonus Miles Flotilla fleet left charming Myrina and headed towards Limenaria, Thassos island. With the southern wind up to 15 knots they sailed broad reaching up to the height of Atos of Chalkidice, making lots of gybes. Then the wind weakened, but was caught again 10 miles away from Limenaria, given the opportunity to sail beam reaching. "The Pirates" crew had their luck to catch a big fish which they generously shared with all Flotilla team. #Flotillachronicles #Day5 Agios Efstratios - Lemnos After a difficult night due to strong winds and waves in the small picturesque port of Agios Efstratios the crew meeting took place at 10:00 for the leg to their next destination, Lemnos island. Just after leaving the port the boats opened the sails, there was 18 knots wind in the morning, and due to its direction the boats had to make a lots of gybes, to keep the good angle and speed. The crew enjoyed sailing until they reached the destination. First and the quickest boats reached the port in the afternoon. Crews had enough free time to visit Myrina castle with breathtaking views. #Flotillachronicles #Day4 Skyros - Agios Efstratios Morning started traditionally with the meeting for crews where the guidelines for sailing through the narrow channel of Valaxa were given.The depth there decreases down to just 5m in some area. Boats opened sails right after the passage and sailed beam reaching to Agios Efstratios island. They have found light wind in the first 15 miles. On the other part of the route, the wind increased , while closer to the island there were gusts up to 25 knots. During the leg, the boat crews were in the racing mood, trying to reach the port first, so some boats developed the speed up 10 knots. The island of Agios Efstratios has small port but the inhabitants and fishermans hd moved their boats in order to help the fleet to dock. The one & only tavern of the island welcomed and fed the whole fleet of Bonus Miles Flotilla. —👩🏼🚒🚒🚨Uniformspende für Freiwillige Einheit in Agria/Griechenland🇬🇷🚨🚒👩🏼🚒— Nach den verheerenden Waldbränden🌲🔥🌳 in den letzten Monaten in Griechenland 🇬🇷, freuen wir uns, einer Unterstützungsanfrage von Ομάδα Αμεσης Επέμβασης Πολιτικής Προστασίας, einer Freiwilligen Einheit aus Agria bei Volos im Pilion 🏞️nachkommen zu können. Der Einheit fehlte es unter anderem an Schutzbekleidungen.👖🧥 Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir die Freiwillige Einheit jetzt mit zwei großen Paketen 📦 mit Feuerwehrschutzbekleidungen unterstützen können. Die Ehrenamtler können sich über insgesamt 18 Feuerwehrschutzhosen und 18 Feuerwehrschutzjacken freuen. Die kleine Einheit verfügt lediglich über einen in die Jahre gekommenen kleinen Pick Up als einziges Einsatzfahrzeug. Der restliche Bedarf an Fahrzeugeb wird durch Privatfahrzeuge der Freiwilligen gedeckt. Geeignete Feuerschutzbekleidung stand den Freiwilligen bis dato nicht zur Verfügung. Es fehlt der Einheit vor Ort an Einsatzmaterial und Fahrzeugen. Wenn ihr nicht mehr benötigtes Einsatzmaterial, Feuerwehrtechnik oder Fahrzeuge habt, dann schreibt uns doch einfach an.
