Imperial Settler's presents 🥁🥁🥁 Imperial Miners! I'm a big fan of Imperial Settler's: Empires of the North. At least, the solo mode. Reason enough to see what Imperial Miners has to offer. The solo mode has the exact same rules as a mo-game, which would tell you that there is no player interaction, turns can be executed simultaneously and you can really focus on your own tableau/engine. Imperial Miners is a pretty straightforward combo game. Each round starts with an event going off. Then you will reveal a card from your hand to build in it's corresponding level (connecting to previous played cards), activate it and every card on your way to the surface. Thus trying to score coins and points. And maybe even advance on some civilization tracks for some bonus features. This you will do 10 times and whoever has the most points, wins! I think Imperial Miners is a fun game. The events can give you nice but small bonuses. The civilization tracks can give some bigger bonuses. The cards and the combinations of benefits are nice. A game won't last 30min and is enough fun to play several games in a row (I have 🤗). The thing I missed were goals. 🇳🇱 🇧🇪 In 𝐁𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐬 van @hig_games maken we elk onze botanische tuin om indruk te maken op onze bezoekers. Bij de start van het spel krijgen we elke ons eigen tuinbord. Daar plaatsen we onze tuinman op, op het startveld. Naast de startobjectieven per rij mogen we ook de geavanceerde objectieven plaatsen. Deze objectieven gaan over het verkrijgen van bepaalde combinaties bloemen in die rijen. De spelersvolgorde wordt bepaalt door wie bovenaan staat in de kolom op het actie selectiebord. Als je aan de beurt bent, mag je eerst je tuinman verplaatsen, maar dit kost je munten. Je mag ook 1 kaart uitspelen voor zijn voordeel. Kaarten kan je gedurende het spel op verschillende plaatsen verdienen. Daarna neem je je actiesteen, in de vorm van een bloemfiche, en verplaatst je die naar de volgende kolom, naar de gewenste actie. Hoe hoger in de kolom je gekozen actie staat, hoe minder krachtig. Maar dan heb je wel meer kans om de volgende ronde eerder aan de beurt te zijn. Sommige kolommen heb maar 1 actie, andere 2. Bij een kolom met 2 acties zet je je fiche op de niet gedrukte actie. Want als iemand nadien dezelfde actie wil doen, kan die dit door 3 munten te betalen en bovenop je fiche te komen liggen. Maar de niet gedrukte actie is dan niet zichtbaar en wordt dan ook niet uit gevoerd. Voorbeelden van acties zijn bvb: bloemen plaatsten. Bloemen plaats je altijd aangrenzend aan je tuinman en komen in 4 niveaus. Met de gieter kan je bloemen laten groeien, van niveau laten stijgen. Je kan ook vooruit op het muntenspoor, kruiwagenspoor en plantspoor om voordelen te krijgen. Kom je op het einde van het zonspoor dan krijg je bonuspunten en ga je terug naar het begin. Ook kan je munten krijgen en je tuinman verplaatsen. Heb je tegen het einde van het spel een volledige kolom met bloemen dan zal je ook nog bonuspunten scoren. Na 2 keer het volledige actiespoor te hebben afgelopen, krijgen we nog elk een stap op een van de 3 sporen en tellen we de punten. Wie maakt de mooiste tuin? It's #twoplayertuesday #twosday🎲 #twosday and this week we have been playing the brilliant TRIBES OF THE WIND by @hachetteboardgamesuk @laboitedejeu ❤️❤️ Not only is the artwork Dutrait-beautiful, but the gameplay is brilliant, and works perfectly at 2P! Essentially you are a Wind Tribe, and it is your job to clear up pollution and build a new world. Each turn you can either play an elemental card to activate its effect(s), place a temple for a bonus action, plant a forest, or build a village. Some actions - like building a village requires you to have done some prep work - clearing pollution from the target location and moving sufficient Wind Riders to the forest tile you're converting. But the personal building scoring objectives, and the end game points are worth the programming, and no action ever feels unachievable - timing becomes key in a really fun, thinky way! There are also asymmetric multi-use bonuses which are triggered when you lay a specific combination of coloured tiles on your board in a given order. What is so cool is that the elemental cards trigger depending on how many of the specific type you have compared to your opponents. And at 2P, the cards in the offer row and top deck card act as the 3rd player. It is such a simple way to add in the necessary comparison without having to run a fiddly dummy player - I wish other 2P games did this! TRIBES OF THE WIND is a brilliant combination of puzzle, tile placement, set collection, and hand management. Choosing one action means not being able to do another which is a fun tension. And knowing where you place tiles has consequences for both your own bonus, potential end game scoring objectives, and how easily your Wind Riders can move around your board to enable building actions really makes you think! Si le premier ne m'avait pas tellement convaincu à l'époque, celui-ci va t-il faire mieux ? -------------------------------- ✍️ Geonil, Gaëtan Beaujannot, Olivier Cipière 🖌️ Vincent Dutrait 🎲 @mandoogames @blackrock_games_localization -------------------------------- ➡️ Dans ce jeu exclusivement deux joueurs, vous endossez les rôles du Dr. Jekyll et de M. Hyde, poursuivis sans relâche par Scotland Yard dans les rues brumeuses, sales, insécures et... j'arrête...de Londres. Comme tout bon jeu de cartes qui se respecte, la victoire dépend de votre capacité à remporter un nombre précis de plis. . ➡️ Les règles sont simples : partagez les rôles, distribuez les cartes entre les joueurs. Chaque joueur doit ensuite donner 4 cartes pour former la "main" de Scotland Yard (le troisième joueur. Enfin non, mais si, bref.). À tour de rôle, il vous faudra jouer astucieusement une carte de votre main afin de remporter, ou pas, le pli. Bien évidemment, il y a un petit twist sinon ce serait une simple bataille hein. Ce petit twist vient des potions, qui alliées aux différentes couleurs des cartes proposent différents effets : changer la couleur de l'atout, reprendre un pli gagné par Scoltland Yard etc. . ➡️ La coopération entre joueurs ajoute une dimension nouvelle, et le chapitrage rend chaque partie immersive en proposant une bonne dose de défis (remporter exactement 4 plis etc.). . ➡️ Le bilan de nos quelques 14 parties jouées à ce jour est très positif. Ce qui fait tout pour moi est le principe de la coop et le chapitrage (10 chapitres apportant leur introduction narrative) qui apporte de réels défis assez corsés. On se prend facilement au jeu de la course poursuite contre Scotland Yard et la rapidité des tours conforte cette dynamique. Und auch die restlichen Spielmaterialien erinnern stark an die Knabberei. Im Prinzip geht es darum zu raten, welche Chips so nacheinander aus der Tüte gezogen werden. Die Chips haben nämlich unterschiedliche Farben, manche davon sind öfter vertreten, manche seltener. Und darauf wetten wir mit unseren Wettkarten. Je unwahrscheinlicher die Wahrscheinlichkeit, desto mehr Punkte gibt es, wenn die Wettkarte doch erfüllt wird. Und eine Karte wählen wir auch noch aus, die nach unserer Meinung auf keinen Fall erfüllt wird. Stimmt das, ist alles gut, ansonsten gibt`s Minuspunkte. Insgesamt eine super Idee, das Spiel macht Spaß und die Verpackung ist einfach nur toll. Leider derzeit nicht verfügbar. Basically, the aim is to guess which chips will be pulled out of the bag one after the other. The chips have different colours, some of which are more common, some less common. And that’s what we are betting for with our betting cards. The less likely the probability, the more points are awarded if the betting card is fulfilled. And we also select a card that we believe will never be fulfilled. If this is correct, everything is good, otherwise there will be minus points. All in all, a great idea, the game is fun and the packaging is just great. Unfortunately not available at the moment. Chrono Fall - @ornamentgames Ein kooperatives Spiel über Raumfahrt und was passiert, wenn die Menschen ihre technischen Möglichkeiten zu sehr ausreizen und mit der Raumzeit Integrität rumpfuschen, denn es ist trotz allem Fortschritt mal wieder Zeit für eine nahende Apokalypse…Die gute Nachricht: Sie kann verhindert werden. Die Menschheit hat eine riesige Raumstation, den Protektor entwickelt, der mit Ressourcen von weit entfernten Exoplaneten betrieben werden kann und so eine Schockwelle auslösen soll, um die überall auftretenden Risse im Raumzeit Kontinuum zu schließen. Das ist im kurzen der thematische Umriss des Spiels, aber worum geht es Mechanisch? Die Spieler steuern ihre Raumschiffe, die SPARC, um Rifts zu untersuchen und zu entfernen, müssen Technologien vorantreiben, sichere Routen für die Frachter schaffen, die die Ressourcen zum Protektor bringen und vor allem die sogenannte Chrono Matrix im Auge behalten, denn hier passieren Ereignisse, die meist weitere Rifts auftreten lassen, oder andere schlimme Dinge...Dazu können sogar weitere Zeitreisen genutzt werden, was der Raumzeit Stabilität natürlich nicht gut tut. Mein Fazit nach den ersten Durchgängen : Ich freue mich für die beiden Autoren, dass sie sich getraut haben, solch ein Spiel auf eigene Faust zu entwickeln und rauszubringen und dann direkt so ein doch recht umfangreiches Werk! Auch das Material finde ich richtig toll absolut wertig und thematisch. Ich glaube am Ende bleibt erstmal nur zu sagen, ich hoffe das Spiel findet guten Anklang, dann ist ja vielleicht, auf längere Sicht, noch eine Erweiterung drin, wie bei Spirit Island, so dass mehr Handlungsmöglichkeiten und weitere Mechanismen ins Spiel kommen können, ich fände es auf jeden Fall klasse (wobei es schon im Grundspiel weitere Szenarien mit neuen Herausforderungen gibt). Wer komplexere und knackig schwierige Koop Spiele mag, opulente Ausstattung gerne hat, der findet hier ein richtig schönes Spiel! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is just awe-inspiring! Back in 2022, we set off on an adventure to Disneyland to check it out. Walking into the area is almost otherworldly, and I was immediately taken back to my childhood, imagining that I was Luke Skywalker wielding his lightsaber against the Empire. In reality, it was my scrawny little self swinging a stick in the backyard making lightsaber noises. I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing when I turned the corner and saw the Millennium Falcon right in front of me. Star Wars had always been a part of my life, and seeing it all right there in front of me was more emotional than I thought it would be. And it’s the little details that only fans would see and remember. From Oga’s Cantina to Savi’s Workshop… Dok-Ondar’s to Rise of the Resistance… you really felt like you were on Batuu, with stormtroopers on the patrol and Rey and Chewbacca making the rounds. Starship Interstellar di Davide Calze e Andrea Crespi. Progetto Kickstarter che doveva vedere la luce l'anno scorso invece ha subito, come spesso capita, un ritardo e in questo caso di circa un anno. Trama: il sole sta diventando una nana rossa e dobbiamo trovare risorse per costruire un'astronave per salvare l'umanità prima che la terra venga inglobata. Il gioco si compone di 2 macro fasi dove nella prima si fanno azioni atte a prendere risorse, carburante, viaggiare e studiare tecnologie. Tutto quello che raccogliamo possiamo spenderlo nella seconda fase dove cercheremo di salvare persone, costruire i vari pezzi dell'astronave o tracciare la rotta... Tutte queste azioni danni più o meno punti. Finita questa seconda fase c'è la facendo reset finché morte non ci separi: nel caso il sole esploda si contano i punti altrimenti dobbiamo aspettare che 2 condizioni di fine partita si verifichino. Note positive: No. Note negative: partiamo dalla plancia. È inutilmente gigantesca. C'è tutto il sistema solare grandezza 1:1 e questa occupa il 75% del tabellone. Inutile perché il gioco dura circa 3/4 turni e sti pianeti non hanno tutto sto tempo per fare tutto il giro. I pianeti sono bucati perché la prima fase del progetto prevedeva che le astronavi fossero davvero agganciate al pianeta ma poi hanno cambiato ma i pianeti sono rimasti bucati. Le risorse vengono tenute nascoste ma non dietro allo schermo che sarebbe molto comodo ma bensì in una scatola poco accessibile. La parte della rotta da tracciare è fatta di piccole tessere così come la parte dell'astronave. Manca il secondo tracciato dell'ordine di turno così quando passi ti metti già nella posizione per il turno successivo. Questa è solo la parte estetica. Passiamo al gioco vero e proprio: la parte di esplorazione spaziale, nonostante ha un 75% di tabellone, è debole, la puoi fare una, max 2 volte per turno... E nonostante tutto le risorse alla fine avanzano: abbiamo salvato tutta l'umanità, costruito tutta l'astronave e tracciato quasi tutte le rotte ed è avanzata roba. Le tecnologie sono mal gestite. Overview: Space Lions is a hand management lane battling game for 2-5 players, with elements of skirmish and bluffing. In the game, each player will pick a faction to play as well as one special leader for their faction (which will allow that card to be a super charged version of that character). Factions have variable player powers making each faction play slightly differently with the end goal being to win the most battles to the left or right of you or in the center of the area where all factions may fight. Pros: -Typical lane battlers I have played only allow for two players at a time, however, Space Lion offers a five player experience. -Player only play 4 cards per round, and then will not receive those cards back to play until the a later round, as they go into a cool down period. This allows for interesting hand management choices. - Discarding cards for special powers can offer some serious benefits, but can be risky allowing for interesting decision space. - The game can be pretty quick as long as no one gets AP. Cons: - I found the rule book to be a little hard to follow (this could have been a me thing, but I was confused originally as to when to take the cards back into my hand); luckily there are some great online rules explanations provided by the publisher. - We found the Lion faction to feel a bit overpowered due to the fact they can get cards back between rounds which is one of the major parts of the game. - Due to the fact that the lead player picks the battle order, there can be turns were it feels like you did nothing at all; which if it happens over and over can feel super frustrating. Overall verdict: My recommendation would be to try before you buy on this one. I know there are plenty of people who this game will be right up their ally, for example people who enjoy punching card games such as BattleCon or Exceed. Keep, Cull, or Classroom Library: This one will not stay in our collection, but I already have the perfect home for it. Rats of Wistar es un juego de 1-4 a jugadores diseñado por Simone Luciani y Danilo Sabia, publicado por @craniocreations_official en el que cada jugador representa a una rata que debe escapar de un laboratorio mientras le demuestras a toda tu familia de roedores que mereces liderar la colonia. Gracias a tus extraordinarias habilidades, seras capaz de explorar la granja, encontrar artefactos humanos abandonados y crear nuevas invenciones mientras expandes tu guarida y haces lugar para mas roedores de tu familia. Todo esto a travez de un rondel con colocación de trabajadores que ademas puede ser potenciado si tienes roedores de tu familia en el sector del rondel que estas activando. Con un arte y componentes que destacan por su calidad no me queda mas que recomendar ese lindo juego.
Updates to the game room!!! So, I’ve been meaning to get into the game room and get it in shape to do another walkthrough… and I managed to snap a couple of pics in the process. The biggest changes are more storage (duh!) for more games, as well as some different signs here and there. I hung up my 7 foot map of middle earth above the stairs which turned out great! There are two gaming tables… the big one for D&D and other big games, and a smaller one for card games and more general use. While the big table is nice, it’s tough to play games without everyone having to stand up and reach across the table. So the little octagon table is amazing to have. 10 chairs to mix and match between the two as well as a loveseat for lounging in between sessions. This truly is my happy place. And I’m so blessed and humbled to be able to have a game room. For the longest time, the games were relegated to the hall closet and we played on the dining room table… so having a dedicated gaming space is truly a dream come true!

El Escuadrón Aletazul y la Unión de Moluscos ganan Fana controlando regiones, los Contrabandistas ganan Fama entregando cartas de Cargamento. 🎲 Se realiza una reserva con el oro, daño y dados de riqueza y batalla. Se crea el mapa inicial con dos regiones. Los jugadores cogen los tableros de jugador de sus facciones y lanzan los dados. El primer jugador siempre será la facción Escuadrón Aletazul. 🎲 En el turno de un jugador, debe de colocar exactamente 2 dados de acción, de uno en uno. Cuando colocas un dado se realiza la acción indicada. On every page things are broken up in differently coloured sections which helps you absorb new information in small chuncks. Whenever an illustration could be used in place of a wall of text, it does so and these illustrated examples are clear and large (they take up a majority of page instead of being relegated to a corner). 📑 The order in which you are presented with the information is also well thought out. It doesn't mention stuff until they are relevant- for example the game uses 'element dice' but their different powers are only explained at the end of the rulebook after you have already grasped how they fit in the game's overall structure. Same goes for other additional rules which you can find at the end. ❌ My only minor gripe would be that the set up of the next round is explained twice- so it even over-explained things. I also appreciate when there is a rules summary on the last page which wasn't the case here. 📌 Finally I love that common questions and misunderstandings were anticipated and addressed as soon as a new rule was introduced.
