Il quadro, privo di sfondo, ritrae una giovane donna con il busto di profilo mentre il volto è ruotato verso l’osservatore, come se si fosse girata per rispondere al richiamo di una voce. Il tempo è come se si fosse fermato, lo sguardo della ragazza è languido e ammaliante e anche le labbra, umide e socchiuse, caricano la sua figura di un innocente erotismo. Indossa un curioso copricapo variopinto, composto da un panno giallo avvolto come un turbante e tenuto fermo da una fascia di stoffa azzurra che le cinge la fronte. Porta all’orecchio un prezioso orecchino, con una grande perla a goccia che riflette la luce del sole proveniente probabilmente da una finestra che si trova alla sinistra del ritratto. Il gioiello è dipinto utilizzando solo due pennellate, separate l’una dall’altra: è il nostro occhio a darci l’illusione di vedere la perla intera. 📌 Non è un ritratto vero e proprio, quanto piuttosto un ‘tronie’, ovvero il dipinto di una mezza figura non reale. 🖼 ☕ Łyk sztuki do kawy „Dziewczyna nalewająca mleko, namalowana nadzwyczaj dobrze przez tegoż Vermeera” - tak opisano obraz w katalogu ze sprzedaży dzieła w 1696 roku. Płótno osiągnęło wysoką cenę 175 florenów (złota moneta bita przez Florencję od 1252). Mleczarka, Dziewczyna z dzbanem mleka, Nalewająca mleko – bo tak tytułowany jest obraz – została namalowana ok. 1660 roku przez holenderskiego malarza Jana Vermeera. Artystą zachwycał się nim m.in. Auguste Renoir, a Salvador Dali uważał go za najgenialniejszego artystę w historii. Sprzedaży „Mleczarki” w roku 1798, towarzyszył już nieco dłuższy opis - Wspaniały i piękny obraz, ukazuje we wnętrzu izby dziewczynę w dawnym stroju holenderskim stojącą przed stołem, przykrytym zieloną kapą, na którym umieszczone są koszyk z chlebem, inne wypieki, gliniany dzban do piwa i garnek, do którego zdaje się ona wlewać mleko; dalej na ścianie wisi koszyk i miedziane wiadro, w tle stoi ogrzewacz do nóg; światło, padające do wnętrza przez boczne okno, daje cudowne wrażenie naturalności i prawdy; obraz jest mocny w kolorycie i wspaniały w sposobie prowadzenia pędzla i stanowi jedno z najpiękniejszych dzieł tego niepowtarzalnego mistrza. W 1908 roku obraz nabyło Rijksmuseum - holenderskie muzeum narodowe w Amsterdamie. Jan Vermeer (1632 - 1675) przez niemal dwa stulecia od swej śmierci, był zapomniany. Odkryto go na nowo dopiero w drugiej połowie XIX wieku. Jednym z obrazów Vermeera, uważanym za arcydzieło, jest „Dziewczyna z perłą”.
