Last day of vacation and I was busy with adulting in the morning. This afternoon...Day 2 of gym and running. I tanned, did upper body and core, followed by massage chair. What a great Saturday! Met some of my fellow frunners and AMPT Ambassadors to do some marketing at Head for the Cure in Plano. From there I decided to get some heat training in so I went for a run. This was the first run I went on in a long time that I truly enjoyed. My body did great adjusting to the heat, and I felt great. After my run I headed to the gym for some weights. I ended with a nice back massage at the gym. Its getting to the time of the year where it just makes me happy. Half Marathon 138 is a wrap! The Arlington Half got moved to Ft Worth due to construction. It was out and back x 2 on the Trinity Trails. Despite nausea when I woke up, I started strong and kept a great pace until around mile 8. It heated up and nausea found me again. I ended up doing run/walk until Mile 12 where I had to stretch my hips. Course was 13.4 miles and I ended with a 12:29 avg pace. Wasn't my day but I finished. 🙂 I even saw @such.sh at the end!! 🤩 @therunlovingasian had a great run too! Look for us at @runirving next week! We are pacing the half!
