Okay, so here’s my new set up. . A Berghaus air shelter. It is pretty easy to put up and is massive inside. For the moment my grey awning goes nicely over the top to connect to the van so I can say ‘it’s and awning, honest hub’ to any petty campsites. . Inside I have placed my Anssems trailer with a @tentbox Lite 2.0 mounted on it. When folded away there is still loads of space inside. #tentbox folds out and provides easy comfortable sleeping with no need for mats etc. . Couple of tweaks needed. Make sure trailer is right against edge of shelter. The ladder needs to be vertical on the TentBox so will need some form of support between one set of rungs to get the height correct. Ladder is load bearing so needs to be solid. . Could also use the TentBox without the shelter just using my grey awning for campsites without silly annoying rules. . This is largely due to my boy now being too tall for the hammock across the front cab in the van. There are simpler and cheaper solutions but this hopefully will work for us. . Plus trailer gives loads of packing space instead of loading the van. . Wheels were recently resealed. No cracks, bends, or welds of any kind. Note the 2 1" inch lips are new, and the 2 2" lips were refinished. 2" lips had minor curb rash smoothened and minor pitting due to age.
