🎤 It was a pleasure to have @craigdavid on one of my recent bus tours around London. I had to take a Rewind when I saw him at first. There were times when I thought we’d be stuck in traffic for 7 Days. Luckily my research was able to Fill Me In on some great topics and facts to stop anyone from Walking Away. We touched on everything from the Rise & Fall of Roman London to tales of a naughty Rendezvous or two. After all, being a tour guide, I was… Born To Do It. In all seriousness though, a huge thank you to Craig for being so kind and complimentary of my tour. 🎧 Born To Do It is an incredible album, arguably one of the most important British albums of the modern era, never mind what it did for Garage and British R&B. 🇬🇧 If you’d have shown 10 year old Scott this photo as he taped “Rewind” off the radio then I’m sure he’d be blown away! 🏛 British Museum, London Musée le plus important de Londres et sans doute d'Angleterre, le British Museum renferme des œuvres incroyables, comme la pierre de Rosette qui a servi à déchiffrer les hiéroglyphes, des portes de temples ou encore une indécente quantité de morceaux arrachés du Parthénon par Lord Elgin et son équipe il y a 200 ans quasi illégalement et vendus à l'Angleterre qui refuse de les rendre à la Grèce depuis. Comme pour le musée d'histoires naturelles, la gratuité expliquant sans doute cela, certaines pièces sont superbes et bien agencées quand d'autres sont d'une pauvreté dans la mise en place comme dans le sol et les plafonds. Vraiment pas mon musée préféré (en dehors de ma rancune à cause de la Grèce ^^, oui, oui je sais tous les pays occidentaux ont volé ce que renferment leurs musées dans le reste du monde, il n'y a pas que l'Angleterre et la Grèce). Vous avez un musée préféré en Angleterre ? Et en général ? Southwark is a rather exciting area that demonstrates the harmonious co-existence of history and modernity, and nowhere is it more apparent than at the Bankside, where you can see The Anchor pub, an establishment serving Londoners for centuries, with the Shard towering over it all. You can also find shops and restaurants underneath the elevated railway corridor leading to Cannon Street Station, with the famous Borough Market located not too far from here either. A picture is worth a 1000 words! This is my fav picture from Temple Church Gardens. We got Covid day 2 in London and had to self quarantine for 5 days. So day 7 we went out for impromptu walk & we discovered this beautiful park very close to our Airbnb. It was so close I had my tea cup and saucer with me. Tea was the only thing I could drink at the time. So anyway went to take a pic of this beautiful water feature. I saw the cup on the bench & decided to leave it. It turned into my one shot wonder!
