Flo and I were strolling along a busy street in Ubud, when we heard a faint squeaky sound coming from the other side. We immediately knew it had to be a kitten, so we went to have a look and found this sweet angel all alone crying in front of a temple. Thankfully she seems healthy, she had mostly likely only very recently been dumped. She spent the first night at @sunset_vet_ubud before moving into my kitten room in Sanur. Left orphaned and vulnerable by the roadside, these adorable, one-month pups faced an uncertain fate amidst speeding traffic. Our team acted swiftly to rescue them, transporting them to a vet clinic where they are receiving round-the-clock care. Each of these furry darlings requires deworming medication, multiple parvo-distemper vaccines, rabies vaccines, nutritious food, flea and tick prevention (they were quite infested), along with socialisation and a safe, clean space to thrive until we find them loving forever homes. Later, once they are older, they will be sterilised to prevent further unwanted litters, sparing them from a life of uncertainty. Luckily for Tess, wandering the streets with her bright pink skin, she stuck out like a sore thumb and was easily spotted and reported to BAWA. It was evident from her sweet temperament when approached by her rescuers that Tess had once had an owner, but like so many others, she too had been abandoned. A simple regime of skin medication, baths, nutritious food and a little patience were all it took for Tess to regain her beauty, and now she is twice the dog she was before.
