I couldn’t hold it in, anymore! We feel soooo privileged that our short film “The Sun that Flew Away” has been officially selected by the exclusive @veneziashorts film fest. Every time, one of our projects is chosen by a festival across the globe, it’s simply an incredible surprise and such a fantastic joy! Kerouac said “The road is life”, and my inspiration is my new beautiful friend @lidia_semesiyk and her daughter Solomiia. They arrived together, after a long journey, 1 year and half ago in Canada, fleeing the bombs in Ukraine, and still searching today for a ray of sunshine to send back home. Thank you for allowing me in and for sharing your story and hearts with us. 💙💛 I want to hold on to the belief that there is still hope for peace, everywhere in the world. I’m not naive, I know it’s a long and arduous road, but we must believe it’ll be worth it, one day. Some photos from my full moon ritual last night! Since it was the Worm Moon, which emits an energy centred around fertility and growth, I like to do a ritual involving my seeds. I hold them under the moonlight and infuse them with my intent, focussing on and visualizing something I’d like to manifest or attract in the coming months. Then as these plants come to fruition, so too will my desires. I also light a green candle to further strengthen the fertile energy. Did you perform a full moon ritual? I just love growing my own herbs to use in spells! I feel so peaceful and at home when I’m gardening. I always knew I wanted to live someplace with a grand greenhouse when I got older, so that I could still garden during the winter months. Zack is a Canadian writer and filmmaker, noted for his 2015 short film She Stoops to Conquer, the winner of the Canadian Screen Award for Best Live Action Short Drama at the 4th Canadian Screen Awards in 2016. He previously worked in theatre, collaborating with Sook-Yin Lee on the 2019 play Unsafe for Canadian Stage.
