Ingredients: Chicken and Seasoning 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 teaspoon finely minced ginger 1 teaspoon finely minced garlic Tempura Batter 1 egg, beaten 1/2 cup cake flour 1/2 cup cornstarch 1/2 cup ice-cold water 1 teaspoon baking soda Vegetable oil for frying Directions: Pound the chicken breast: Use a meat tenderizer to pound the chicken so that it's thinner and flatter. Big Congrsts to Tem L! How many times they cooked takikomigohan in the previous Basic and Advance blocks! Lillian was the quickest to learn to cook the perfect takikomigohan. She made the vegetarian version for the Bento box; surely enough the texture and flavor was superb. Chicken tempura was prepared by Juan. By cutting chicken into small pieces comes from the past learning of: 1)know the space in which you plate the prepared dish, 2) Cut ingredient into chopsticks friendly size. Deep-fried chicken stayed extra crisp; my tasting portion melted into my mouth with richly flavored sesame sauce served with. Who doesn’t like Japanese wagyu if you are a beef lover! Miles had a definitive go-to-recipe in his mind when the Bento box project was announced. He even brought the steaks to the classroom and announced that he will make a trial dish before the Bento project began. He knows what he is doing and excels in what he is doing. Koji marinated wagyu was cooked over charcoal fire while being basted with delicious sesame flavored sauce. The presentation was led by Lillian. As the same as other Bento attention to details in each area - color, flavor, beauty - is expressed sharply.
