Brilliant day out at NPS Spring Festival despite it feeling like mid winter not nearly May and the 4am alarm🐴🥶 Vogue present himself like a pro in the inhand, did a beautiful dressage test, got round the show jumping (with two stops but I didn’t mind that 🐴) and did a beautiful show in the ridden flat class! Best boy training at home in the week! Not the best riding from me, but he only ever tries his best for me (not always his hardest because he is a lazy sod and minimal effort is always preferred 🤣) and I am so pleased with some of the work he produced! The medium trot is getting there, we aren't always completely light infront but that will come with a bit more practice and strength 💪 so pleased with his canter, it is getting much more adjustable and mostly from my seat 🙌 we did some counter canter practice aswell which he did beautifully 😍 walk to canter is hit and miss depending on how I ride it and how much effort he can be bothered to put in but we got canter to walk for the very first time, it was messy but we got there! He finds sitting back such hard work but he tries and it will get easier for him the more we do! 💙A special recognition award today for bravery at the Vets💙. Now to most you probably think and!!! but for those that have missed our updates, Louie hated just being in the car park, he'd literally scream and it was heartbreaking. Fast forward just over 3 years and I take this dude every month to his confidence clinic to just let him see, smell, meet and know it's actually a great experience. The staff have been amazing. Lindsey is now his new best friend! Today was his yearly boosters and he got those and a full examination without any stress or growling 🙌💪🥰. He did 'middle' with the vet and Lindsey and as you can see here no panting and wore a huge rosette!!
