To our AMAZING Supporters, here is a quick update on our favorite man crush. #mcm Gunner had some blood in his stool over the weekend. This could be from the change in his medical plan. We have a message in to his Cardiologist to verify. In the meantime, we put him on some prescription GI food to help in case this has irritated his stomach lining. Changes to the medical plan was: • Sildenafil 50 mg tablets: INCREASE to 2 tablets by mouth every 8 hours v. 2 every 12 hours. • NEW Prednisone 20mg tablets: Give 1 tablet by mouth twice daily for 2 weeks, then DECREASE to 1 tablet by mouth once daily for 2. weeks, then DECREASE to 1 tablet by mouth every other day for 2 weeks, then DISCONTINUE. Gunner is a medical foster and there is no way around it. We have to protect his heart at all costs, and it's expensive. We need you. We always try to raise money with auctions and raffles versus asking for direct donations. But we are struggling with the cost of Gunner monthly requirements. He still has his wish list. The main items needed is pill pockets, food and supplements. I visit Gunner every Sunday, or every other Sunday so I can deliver his donations to him. We don't give out his foster's information due to past instances. We had friends visiting over the weekend and #TheVoice was on TV (admittedly, I don't watch a lot of TV - sorry, networks). Anyway, it appears @danandshay are on there this season and I had the privilege of shooting them about 5 years ago with some @charlestonanimalsociety dogs as part of a puppy love session before one of their performances here in town. It was 2019, right after they had won their first Grammy, I believe. So last night I went down the rabbit hole of scrolling old photos, remembering how genuinely nice they and their crew were and how completely gentle and sweet they were with all of the dogs who visited.
