I am so excited to announce what I've been working on lately: I've been teaching myself how to work with resin (or as I call it, Rexin)! I have been having a blast learning how to do this and I still have a lot to learn, but just like everything else on my page, everything I post up is for sale and available in your own custom colors. What a wonderful day to be alive. As you all probably know, I started working with paracord to help keep my hands and my mind off alcohol. I was chatting with an employee at Trader Joe’s yesterday and we got to the topic of sober curious. He said something that really resonated with me which was, "it’s (alcohol) not going anywhere". When I think about my relationship with alcohol, I’m unsure what the future holds, and to say I’m never drinking again seems silly. But what I am sure of is how it makes me feel currently and how it has made me feel in the past (swipe for old journal entries🤯). ✨I AM 365 DAYS SOBER.💫 I was never an everyday drinker. I was a social/party drinker who only ever had the intention of drinking for fun but as I got older, the alcoholism that runs in my family's blood took over and "having a couple drinks" turned into drinking the whole bottle and more if I could. Once alcohol hit my system, that terrible chemical in my brain took over and I literally could not control myself. I have had periods of time where I was sober for a few months, at one time 8 months, and kept thinking to myself, "I can do this. I can go out and LITERALLY just have a drink or two" and I couldn't. I realized that most of my memories where drinking was involved were terrible ones and I had done and said things I would typically never do. I am so proud of where I am and I will say, it does get easier to say "NO" the more you realize just how terrible that shit in a bottle is. I took myself out of the situations that triggered me the most and changed my outlook. I just want you to know that if you're struggling, with alcohol or otherwise, there is always help, support, and love around you. You can do it, just as I did. It may not be easy. But it sure as hell is worth is. I'm always here for you, no matter how often or not we talk, never hesitate to reach out. ♥️
