Today, an unexpected power glitch led me to guide our restorative yoga class without music. Instead of troubleshooting the playlist, I embraced the unexpected. As I led the practice without music, I felt a profound connection to the breath, body, and each moment. 💫 The positive feedback I got after class was overwhelming! Students shared how much more connected to the breath they felt, inviting deep relaxation and rest. What if we made this a regular thing? Who can relate? As a small business owner with a dozen hats to wear, I fully understand that self-care is not just a daily practice but a ritual to offer love and respect to my body. Before anything else, I make sure to drink two glasses of water upon waking up in the morning. Then, it’s off to the sauna for 30 minutes followed by 30 minutes of yoga. I also practice intermittent fasting, abstaining from eating until 3-4 pm on most days. This ritual has sustained my body for the last 20 years, continuing to energize and inspire me to keep up with my busy schedule. Longer live span for couples rather than for a single person ! Did you know that on average, being in a committed relationship can positively impact longevity. Couples, exhibit longer lifespans compared to their single counterparts. Companionship and emotional support provided by a partner can reduce stress levels, bolster mental health, and promote healthier lifestyle habits. Additionally, couples may encourage each other in so many ways. Humans are inherently social beings, and throughout history, we’ve thrived in communities and groups. Connection with others is fundamental to our well-being, both emotionally and physically. Only Love Matters! The extent to which couples may live longer compared to singles can vary depending on various factors, including the quality of the relationship, lifestyle habits, socioeconomic status, and access to healthcare. However, it’s essential to note that the quality of the relationship matters significantly. A supportive, fulfilling partnership is more likely to contribute positively to health and longevity compared to a stressful or unsatisfying one. Being single also offers its own set of opportunities and advantages.
