#5 in the series "Postcards from Japan" is this shot of a beautiful white Heron at Nakajima Park in Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture. Each print is made on a beautiful handmade Shiramine postcard by master papermakers using the traditional ‘tamezuki’ sheet-forming method over at @awagami_factory in Tokushima, Japan. The prints are made locally by @marchesse Paper size is around 14,5 cm x 10 cm (varies a bit, due to the handmade process and the uncut, deckled edges). Print size is 13,5 cm x 9 cm. Terranuda. L'agricoltura contemporanea si nutre di ampi spazi. Di spazi vastissimi. Un tempo, quando la si lavorava con l'aratro trainato da buoi, o addirittura a mano, non era possibile creare campi di centinaia di ettari, così sopravvivevano boschetti, siepi, prati naturali. Ma oggi ogni singola particella di terra è utile, crea reddito, ricchezza, almeno in apparenza. Una siepe o un boschetto sono d'intralcio. Le recenti proteste dei coltivatori rispetto alla proposta della UE di lasciare alla natura piccole particelle di terreno per aiutare la biodiversità e la fertilità dei terreni - quello che un tempo si definiva set aside o più anticamente maggese, la rotazione delle colture per far riposare i terreni - ha scatenato vivaci proteste. Eppure è evidente che la dipendenza da sostanze chimiche e fertilizzanti sintetici della moderna agricoltura non è sostenibile. In this year’s edition of PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai, we present the works of three artists: Hailun Ma, Guanyu Xu, and Lin Tian. Avec Maxime, des retrouvailles dans une ôde aux sentiments, une collection d’expériences dans des boîtes peintes à l’aérographe. Au temps accordé, plusieurs "expériences" m'attendent. Dans un des coffrets, il y a un petit sac sur lequel est brodé “Well Born” en lettres cursives, une amulette d’étain et une incantation en italique. Dans l’autre il y a un collier et cette phrase “What my Ancestors left me”. Le temps d’une confidence, d'une infusion et j'ai écrit. . . . Maxime Buono @well__born .
