Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Design, REVA University organized a case study visit to MYRA School of Business and SDM Institute for Management in Mysore for the #6thsemester students as a part of the Architectural Design - V studio on 7th March 2024. The objectives of this study trip were to give the students exposure to campuses built on contoured Sites. At the MYRA School of Business, students were given a tour of the campus – to view and study their seminar halls, auditorium, interactive spaces, cafeteria space, faculty rooms and library. At SDM, after the briefing session at the entrance, students explored campus – understanding their overall buildings and spaces, seminar halls, interactive spaces, cafeteria space, faculty rooms and girls Hostel. In the winters the snow blankets all and the sumac retains its colour nevertheless so intense it’s red and staying power. There is a purity there because less travellers go, and a mystery, for it is surrounded by more wild lands. The area beyond is reached through a small path that goes down a rise and it’s there a large bird flew away, some beige solitary one. I think that the best part was when the hundreds of yellow buttercups appeared, yellow splashing atop verdant greenery and mud. a little stream wavers there, and I don’t know yet where it comes from or exactly where it goes.
