Claire Austin slings herself around the corner of the studio, I didn’t manage to clip her wings last year so she went skywards along with most of her blooms. I planted her so I could see her from studio windows and run out for a quick sniff as and when needed. Lockdown lessons don't stop just because it's half-term, apparently, and one item on this week's list of English assignments, set by the school, involved writing notes and a letter for a coronavirus time capsule. There was some lively discussion about Boris ... 'out of the mouths of babes and sucklings' and all that. In that coincidental way - and because my eight-year-old granddaughter had just read aloud the first chapter of War and Peace (abridged @dawngarrett !!! 😲😘) - we finished today's lesson by discussing someone else who dreamed of becoming World King - Napoleon.
