1 year ago, around this time- I genuinely didn’t know what to do with my life or who I wanted to be. I made the most craziest yet best decision to pack my bags and move to Orlando for the summer, working for a company that I only thought could be a dream. Moving to a city where I didn’t know anyone could be a nerve wrecking feeling, right? What I didn’t expect after my time in Florida and Disney was the growth I made after my time there was done. Growing up, I was never the cool kid, I was confused on what I was doing with my life, I didn’t have too many goals on my mind, hardly any friends, and well… I was mainly to myself. If I can tell the 22/ freshly 23 year old in these photos, you are who you have always meant to be. My Disney College Program experience is one that not too many individuals can say they’ve experienced all the blood, sweat, and tears that has been put in for a company that has held magical memories for generations. I learned so many things about myself, made the bestest friends that I still hold dear to my heart, I overcame a lot of my social anxiety, I got a job back here in Texas that I love so much, and overall, I grown into the most beautiful version of myself that was hidden over these years. I couldn’t have completed this chapter without the support of my family and the sacrifices my mother made for me to pack up my bags mid-spring semester to the most magical place on earth. Even though, I live in Orlando part-time as I am finishing up my degree this year, Disney is always there for me- whether if it’s a quick trip or a place to getaway when I need to think clearly, home is where the heart is, and my heart knows that this experience was the best decision that I made in my 20’s. @waltdisneyworld @officialdisneyprograms , thank you for everything, to the girl in these photos, I’m so proud of you, here’s to the next chapter. ♥︎
