We are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Our middle child who has been pledged with an illness that has been threatening to become chronic for two months now has started to recover. We are almost out of the woods and overjoyed. Our other children have also recovered from two back-to-back colds, and a new allergy we didn’t know one of them developed. It’s been hard but November is looking bright. I made this little bubble light pumpkin out of UV resin to make the children feel better. With some help from the sun, it cured, and I think it came out pretty good. Everyone wants me to make more of them and I might make one or two more before moving on to plaster pumpkins. (They may say UV resin is not toxic, but the smell makes me disagree.) The pumpkin brought smiles to their faces, and they take turns keeping it in their rooms. To anyone else going through hard times out there, you got this, things will turn around soon you’ll see, and when it does it’s going to be awesome! Halloween är över och antagligen har du skaffat dig en eller flera pumpor som dekoration. 🎃 Har du redan karvat ur pumpan utan att ta vara på innehållet får det här bli en påminnelse inför nästa år. Så gott som alla pumpor kan ätas och det finns otroligt många goda recept ett att hitta på nätet. Förutom pumpapaj, ugnsrostade pumpa, pumpasoppa eller pumpapuré kan du hitta recept till bröd, kakor och marmelad. Så släng inte innehållet nästa gång. Fröerna kan du rosta i ugnen eller på stekpannan, så gott. Och har du nu bara kvar en sumpig hallowenpumpa kan du gömma den i buskarna så blir den mat till småfåglarna under vintern eller så lägger du den i komposten för att bli ny gjord. Har du flera hela pumpor kvar så ta in dem och torka av dem. En hel pumpa utan skador kan lagras länge utan att du behöver ha den i kylen. Då kan du om du vill, som jag, höstdekorera dem med lite färg. Jag har använt kalkfärgspennor från @dollarstoresverige och vattenfärgspennor från @lidlsve För vem har sagt att inte pumpor passar som dekoration under "Novent" (november och advent) och fram till jul. 🎄 Har även sett tips på att pumpainnanmätet är perfekt som ansiktsmask eller att göra vegetariska hundkex av. Så tänk "använd allt" när du köper Pumpa I fortsättningen. Och som sagt, mata fåglarna eller kasta resterna i matavfall eller i komposten. ( ja minkälaiset tyynyt sitä jouluksi laittaisi?) Ostin halvan torkkupeiton, jonka leikkasin kahteen osaan ja täytin vanhan tyynyn sisuksilla. Juuttinarut vaan pyörittelin ympärille, en niitä edes ommellut. Ainoa, minkä ompelin, oli toinen sivusauma. Kivan muhkea tuli. •DIY pumpkin• ▪️I made this one from an old jumper of mine , annoyingly I didn’t film the process and wish I did now, In all honestly I’d didn’t think it would turn out so well so I will write how I did it below if you wanted to give it a go ⬇️ I intend to make some more for next year now. Cost pence to make . Some current fall/halloween themed projects. My favorite has got to be Jack Skellington and the stackable pumpkins. All pumpkins were free patterns, I altered to what I was looking for (i did free-hand Jack's face tho). I had received the large ghost from a swap and had the tiny one I made previously... and of course it was requested I made a third to finish off the ghost family 🤣👻. The poisoned apples are also pretty cool, they are a paid pattern from etsy ('poisoned apple', I made the mini version). Made a couple of items to gift to teachers next week as well. Most are living in the pumpkin patch we have accumulated so far 🎃
