Congratulations, Kolby, on selection for the Yorkshire DPP Programme! Kolby has aspired to be a professional rugby player since he was 8 years old. At 14 years old, he's now another step closer, having set himself many difficult but achievable goals along the way. Kolbys' strength of mind for his age is fantastic always saying he needs to: 'earn the right to be a starter every game.' Physically changing himself from a stocky rugby player to a young athlete moving from prop to back and losing over 2.5 stone at 14 years old. He always shows the courage to challenge himself by picking the route with the greatest reward, whether that be losing weight or building speed to fit the player he wants to be. Showing the maturity to understand the sacrifices and commitment needed to achieve his goals is admirable, young or old.
