Some of my many comfort films, these are the films I got to whenever I feel out of sorts and need a pick me up. Empire records- one of my all time favourite hidden gem films, I love this film so so much! All the characters are so relatable, the soundtrack is incredible and gosh I wish I worked in a record store! A Cinderella story- this is my ultimate comfort film and I have probably watched it more than 100 times, I love every aspect of this movie, it's so bad that it's so good and I love chad <3 Strictly ballroom- this movie is less well known but is one of my favourites the story, the music and the dancing are so good and the love story is just the best The conjuring- I know it's less comforting but this film is also one of my biggest comfort films, something about Ed and Lorraine make me feel secure and this film was one of my first horrors. This day is marked by special releases, in-store performances, and other events that promote the importance of record stores in the music community. My outfit for the day is inspired by my favorite movie, “Damn the Man Save the Empire”; Empire Records. This movie is was released in 1995. It’s an American comedy-drama film that revolves around a group of employees working at a fictional independent record store. It navigates through their various personal and professional challenges. The store is facing financial troubles, and the employees come up with a plan to save it from being sold to a large music chain. Throughout the film, they deal with issues such as love, friendship, identity, and the importance of music in their lives. Each character has their own unique personality, which adds to the charm of the film. The movie captures the spirit of the 90s music scene and the sense of community that can be found in independent record stores.
