I first met Eric Clement about 10 years ago in downtown Decatur at the local Starbucks. Clement was meeting with another animator and they both were discussing an animation project that they were working on. I would later introduce myself to both animators and move on to the association that we have today. Over the years I have managed to personally witness Clement create an animation project called, "Captain Save A Hood and Peter Proper." His film was recognized and screened at the old comic book store in North DeKalb Mall. Captain Save A Hood was later screened at South DeKalb's Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Theater on Rainbow Drive. Clement's work went on to be featured in various locations across the globe. Two years ago I received a phone call from Clement wanting me to come by his makeshift studio to check out his new animation project. The studio was a very small storage unit that he was utilizing in the city of Clarkston as an animation studio. Clement's used his creative intellect to turn a storage unit into an animation studio (I took these photos of Clement's "art studio" on September 14, 2021)!!!!!! Walt Disney... Stan Lee... Watch your back!!! Clement's new project was called, "The Planetics." A stop and motion animation series using Hip Hop to educate kids about STEM and the solar system. Now two years later, Clement has independently created and financed two episodes. As we approach the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop, Clement has tapped me to come on board as the Creative Director/Producer of his new stop-and-motion animation series. As we work on developing a season of totally new content, Clement will be releasing the Planetics first music video that has never been released, "Milky Away Way" on August 11th, and the second video later in September. @ericclementart is a Montreal-based hyperrealist painter with a passion for pop culture, collectibles and nostalgia. Clément is best known for his meticulous brushwork, combining subtle social commentary with satire and humour. Juxtaposing illustration, logos, comic books and vintage imagery, Clément re-contextualized these different elements to create new narratives. These are "tongue in cheek response to bleak socio/political issues,” as the artist puts it, which are so prevalent today.

What a year. This past year i moved my entire family and life back to Montreal after years in Toronto. Posted @withregram • . @ericclementart Ok so I’m no master builder of terrain or diorama but this was a fun little side project. I had a bunch of these tea lights lying around that I always wanted to use for something. I cut some XPS foam for the base and bricks which I cut to size on my proxxon and then pieced together. The flames were made by pilling hot glue on and then teasing it up with a toothpick while it dried and then gave it a spray with some orange ink. The rest is paint, dry brush @vallejocolors paints pigments and texture pastes and the some baking soda and matte medium for the snow. Again this is messy and likely with practice would look wayyyy better but for a little Xmas decoration for Theo and side project while I’m waiting on my studio Reno it was fun! “ It’s Steve but please call me Steven” (polymer clay sculpture. Hand painted on wood base aprox 9.5 inches) although I have always been a painter first my love of collectibles and toys Has lead me to integrate some limited edition resin sculptures and 1 of 1 clay sculptures into my art practice. Steve is my first 1 of 1 original sculpt and hand painted figure. Before his transition to less than alive and more than dead he was a disgruntled H&M employee and he thought your style was atrocious. In his current state he enjoys long walks to nowhere in particular and guttural moaning. His favourite foods are skin human flesh and brains. While he does indulge in eating human matter when he can get it he is aware of his privilege and would tell you how woke he was if he could form sentences. For real though I had such a blast making this guy. He is currently available
