Itโs been awhile since Iโve posted on my JB trips but this is definitely worth a post! Finally braved the queue for @orientalkopi.asia. At 6:15pm on a Saturday, we queued for approximately 30 minutes. โ๏ธ The signature nasi lemak was sold out so we got the satay chicken nasi lemak RM17.50. The satay chicken was tender and so yummy! Sadly the egg was over cooked. โ๏ธ Worth mentions are the egg tarts. RM9.80 for 2 pieces. They were so flaky, they made the best crunchy noises whilst attempting to slice them up! The buttery and custard flavours of the egg tart really hit the spot for me! โ๏ธ The kaya toast and polo buns were really yummy too, thanks to their home made butter which was cut into thick slabs! Pretty generous imho! โ๏ธ Letโs not forget the coffee! Buttery aroma in the coffee which we rarely get in Singapore. Missing Thailand ๐น๐ญ too much but I managed to snag Thai Milk Tea crepe cakes from @twobakeboys on @pickupp.sg #notsponsored ๐ฐ Seriously love all their cakes! I also got the taro, coconut (comes with real coconut flesh) and also Earl grey lavender! ๐ฐ Love the milk tea drizzle on the cakes! Not too overpowering or overly sweet but gives the cake the perfect smooth texture. ๐ฐ Pretty stoked that theyโre opening a cafe soon in March at Bugis/Lavender! Discovered @paperbakedgoods on @pickupp.sg and fell in love with their orh nรฉe rolls and tasting boxes! Check out the legit orh nรฉe purรฉe surrounded by a orh nรฉe chantilly cream. The roll itself is made of blue pea flowers and hence the pale blue colours. Really enjoyed the light buttery taste. Had a surprise ding dong from my beloved sister! It was @bakerybrera with this amazing selection of yummy bakes! 1. Croissant 2. Pain Au Croissant 3. Almond Croissant 4. Kouign Aman 5. Recently tried @shirley_confectionery and was really amazed! This humble mother-daughter home baker team is talented! Loved the texture and taste of the brownies! Not too sweet and a right amount of chocolatey taste! There are 5 flavours, sea salt nutella, speculoos, oreo, peanut butter, double chocolate! All are really good!
Had a ramen craving at midnight and thank goodness for 24hr @takagiramen! Love their Kinyama ramen which comes with freshly fried enoki with Parmesan cheese (swipe right) and also their char siu don that comes with fluffy Japanese rice and also egg Mayo! Their bubble teas have a notable Sakura flavored pearls which have the texture of white pearls but with a floral taste! Definitely a must try for their ๐ง
Osakaโs most famous fluffy pancakes now come in premium-to-go boxes with a cookie flavour! Cookie flavours such as Oreo, Earl Grey Butter, White Chocolate and Lotus Biscoff. ๐ฅ All of them were really good but Iโm a huge Lotus Biscoff lover so thatโs my FAVOURITE! The pancakes itself is a bit more dense than I remembered at the shop. The eggy aromatic flavour is still the reason why I love these pancakes! ๐ฅ

Getting my Wu Xiang fix from Maxwell food centre. It was eerily quiet around 12pm. Some of my favourite items like prawn crackers werenโt available. Overheard the stall owner in some argument with the delivery personnel and I could feel his frustrations. Delivery isnโt the normal mode of sales for these old time hawkers. The food is still just as good as always but it also takes the extra effort to drive down and support them. Donโt just focus on food options on delivery platforms. These hawkers have been feeding our nation for decades and itโs time we also show our appreciation for them.
Trying out @takagiramen Kinyama and Kuroyama ramen! Who says ramen isnโt a good takeaway food? Takagi ramen goes the extra mile to separate all the ingredients from the broth and all the fried items are packed in a box. A lot more packaging to ensure that you receive the optimal experience with their ramen! But this also means the extra wait, worth it! ๐ Kinyama is served with crispy enoki mushroom, topped with Parmesan cheese and a generous serving of shoyu ramen! This was our FAVOURITE! Definitely getting this again soon! ๐ Kuroyama Black tempura seaweed with shoyu ramen. Loved the crunch with every bite of ramen noodles! ๐ Did you know Takagi Ramen also takes extra care of their staff and did not let go of any staff during CB last year. Trying out @chichasanchen.sg Taro Fresh Milk with Taro Bubbles! Watched them weigh a portion of taro paste and delicately apply it inside the cup all around. The taro paste has a very light taste but the taro pearls on the other hand had a much sweeter taste that overpowers the taro paste. Definitely a much needed refreshing drink for the mid day work week!

Time for an IN-KUEH-DIBLE break and to catch my breath! @chalkfarmsg kueh salat definitely does the trick! Struggled for breathe for the last couple of weeks. Love the rich kaya layer, filled with pandan aroma that melts in your mouth, that goes with the strong coconut milk taste! A winner everytime! ๐ฅฅโ

Iโve been here with my ex-colleagues a few years ago and really loved their fresh seafood and food options, but now with covid, the food is delivered to your table once you make your order via your phone using the unique QR code on each table.
