@808eatinghouse.sg - such a gem in the Joo Chiat neighbourhood. We had: 1) Buah Keluak Pork Belly: this is one of their signature dishes and it's easy to see why, the sauce was amazing, smoky, nutty, earthy, slightly bitter, savory. The braised pork belly could be more tender but it's still a fab dish 2) Beef Cheek Rendang: just a solid, melt-in-the-mouth beef rendang 3) Baby Cabbage: I don't like cabbage but this was done so well...the pistachio paneer it sat on was superb, and I love the other mishmash of flavours from the slightly charred honey glaze, toasted almonds and sesame. 4) Duck Fat Financiers: moreish buttery bites that went beautifully with chicken liver mousse 5) Crispy Baby Squid: a simple but really good dish of fresh, crispy, light squid. The squid ink aioli was yums too! The dishes were all on the smaller side though, so if you're hungry you might end up ordering the whole menu...

So glad that Hundred Acre Creamery has opened a new outlet in Westgate! Finally! Jurong East has always been lacking a good dessert place, so this is good news for all Westies! We have always enjoyed their offerings but the store at Sunset Way is a little hard to get to. Hundred Acre Creamery is inspired by Winnie the Pooh, mirroring the essence of pure joy, timeless camaraderie, and a celebration of life's simplest pleasures. In this case, ice cream and waffles! This time, we had their signature TRUFFLE CHEESE WAFFLE, topped with their signature honey chrysanthemum and Salty Lychee CALPIS! Loved both flavours! Yes, the calpis worked super well for me...I'm a fan haha! The truffle cheese waffle is definitely unique. Loved the slightly burnt areas that are actually the cheese. We also had the coco affogato. Excellent stuff! Congrats to the team for the opening; shop was crazy crowded when we visited!

I guess u can consider this as a balanced meal too. It has runny eggs, boiled veggies and crunch ikan billis. The noodles were a plus point cause it was super chewy.
