While it's not as soft as the famous Eddy's (Hong Lim), it's good enough that you don't need to travel to Chinatown. 4/5 We also tried their Ribeye Steak ($21) which was done ala medium rare. Don't expect restaurant quality steaks here, but it's a good alternative for the convenience and price point. The steak was cooked to the right doneness, which I'm glad as I'm usually livid when steaks are not done right. 3.9/5 Do also give their Truffle Mushroom Soup a try. It was surprisingly robust and had a good amount of mushroom and Truffle flavor. We were seated away from the counter to facilitate conversation but I am sure the thunderous laughters and loud voices from my dinner companions (not me for sure 😜) were not too welcomed by all the other couples on dinner dates! They are damn inconsiderate and I totally disapprove of their rowdy mannerisms! 😂 If I were on a dinner date with a SYT (that’s a BIG “IF”), I’ll definitely be damn upset with those primates! 🐒 🤪 It was meant to be a dry night… cos Baby Aaron has a party in the morning and a BBQ dinner in the evening. I didn’t intend to be a bad father by not being in my best on my son’s birthday celebration. As such, I only brought a bottle of white burgundy… a de l’Arlot NSG Cuvée La Gerbotte 2000, cos I did not intend to drink… Wowo just recovered from a nasty flu… Antonio quit drinking… Elaine doesn’t drink… and Choon hardly drinks anymore (or so I thought…) 🙃😖 Left the ordering to Antonio, which seems counterintuitive for an angmoh to order Japanese… but actually… he does know his Japanese… details of which I shall not go into. 😂 Lovely grilled sardine… & grilled Tachiuo… my joint favourites of the night. ⭐️ The grilled lamp chops were really good too. Somehow… we ended up with 2 more bottles of sake… Gorin and Ten On… and then “High(er) Balls”. @ingology still felt hungry towards the end, but we ran outta budget. I tried the new @mcdsg Yakiniku beef burger and LOVED IT! There have been some hits and misses recently, but this is one item that you shouldn’t mjss. The sauce really has the sweet and savoury flavour that you usually pair with grilled meat. Also, the new Taro Custard Pie is also another must try, if you are a fan of taro. However, the Double Chocolate Frappe was too sweet for me. I could only drink 1/3 of it. On a side note, fast food is no longer affordable. We spent almost $24 on this meal for two.

It's conveniently located a stone's throw away from the Bus Interchange among the HDB buildings. Met some like-minded foodies and we had way too much food on the table. That meant the cameras were snapping without stop, and the lenses opened more than our mouths. After all, our camera eats first. Here are stalls available in this kopitiam (R-to-L) 1️⃣ Kopi & Toast - drinks stall with thicc waffles and also has some unique drinks such as ice rose teh-o, gula melaka kopi and brown sugar coffee. 2️⃣ Jin Kimchi Express - this is the 9th outlet serving fast to service Kimchi Sets such as Bulgolgi Beef, Grilled Galbi Pork and Seafood Sondubu Stew. 3️⃣ Top Wok - your neighborhood DTF-styled egg fried rice with pork cutlet, Mala and XO sauce. 4️⃣ Ding Shun Economic Bee Hoon - the usual morning fare for alot of Singaporeans, their bee hoon is delicious and has quite a good variety of sides 5️⃣ 161 Ban Mian - the affable aunty was proud to show me the assortment of HANDMADE noodles she has. 6️⃣ No. 25 Minced Meat Noodles - the viral minced meat noodles making rounds on fyp now. Needs no further introduction. 7️⃣ Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang - Michelin-recommended and 25th Outlet. Need I say more? 8️⃣ Man Tak Kei - zi char with over 12 years experience.
