🏛️ Melbourne 🏛️ Deuxième plus grosse ville d'Australie après Sydney, Melbourne nous a beaucoup plu ! On a dormi dans une rue calme près d'un parc dans la banlieue nord. En 20 min de tram, on était dans le centre ! Comme d'habitude, des buildings, des vieux bâtiments, un immense marché couvert, un China Town, une place culturelle au bord de l'eau, une rue réservée au street art, un matcha latte au petit déjeuner, une pizza vegan au dîner, mais surtout... 📖 Une bibliothèque digne de grands films. On y est allés deux fois tellement on a aimé cet endroit. A special moment in time 8 years ago, a career highlight - our 2016 projection work Still Here is now screening in the foyer at the Koorie Heritage Trust, Federation Square Melbourne as part of JXSH MVIR - FOREVER I LIVE - a retrospective exhibition of artworks by the late Gunditjmara, Yorta Yorta and Barkindji artist Josh Muir (1991 – 2022). In 2016 White Night Artistic Director Andrew Walsh commissioned an artwork with a powerful vision - Josh’s artistic treatment Still Here, a collaboration between Josh Muir, Emma Donovan, James Henry and Ample Projects (directed by Nicholas Tory) for the front facade of the National Gallery of Victoria. The work is Josh’s story - a 9 projector wide full coverage of the NGV St Kilda Road facade, projected by TDC. Ample’s Nicholas Tory was producer and director of the artistic, design and animation development of the projection show itself in collaboration with Josh. Designer animators were Simon Gruer, Brendan Williams, and Christian Heinrich. Josh wrote the story and created many artworks that the Ample team based the show on.
