2 weekends ago I was in Red Deer for my oldest daughter’s volleyball tournament when I woke up to a message from this beautiful family that their baby girl had arrived 💕 this was my first Fresh 48 session since 2019 so I quickly rearranged my schedule and raced back to Edmonton to capture the brand new baby Rosalie! Fresh 48 sessions are just the sweetest. What is it? Fresh 48 simply means photos taken of your precious newborn within the first 48 hours after birth. These take place at the hospital or your home, depending on where you gave birth, and are documentary style...meaning, less focus on being perfect in setup and more focused on catching details of baby being fresh, like wrinkly hands and feet, barely there eyelashes and eyebrows, hospital blankets, mom in a messy bun, robe and slippers, etc. These sessions are quick, 30-45 minutes, but are such a treasure to you later. I offer in-home, lifestyle sessions that are laid back and baby-led. For that squishy, sleepy newborn look, schedule within the first 2 weeks home; however, I know that isn't always possible.
