Look at that sunset π π! But have you ever wondered what causes a sunset? "When the sky is the desirable bright red we so love in sunsets, it's an indication the atmosphere is full of moisture and dust particles. We see the red color because it has the longest wavelength in the spectrum. The shorter wavelengths, like blue, aren't visible because they are broken up. These same principles also explain why the sky is blue during the day. The blue light is scattered more than the other wavelengths because it travels in shorter, smaller waves." For AQA Science students, this is in GCSE Physics and combine Science topic 6: Waves. As Albert Eistein once said, "Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better" π€©. #student #tutor #learning #secondaryschool #igcse #chemisty #physics #gcsescience #englandmemes #tuition #studymotivation #aqamemes #students #teacher #college #england #gcsebiology #biology #tutoring #gcsehelp #gcse #gcses #gcsememes #alevels #school #education #science #gcserevision #exams #london

I would like to thank all my 100 followers! π₯³ I made the decision of not returning back to my full time middle leader position so that I could spend more time with my daughter who was born in January 2023. Science tutoring is something I have always done alongside my 14 years of being a Science teacher. When the Coronavirus pandemic hit the world in 2020, I shifted my face to face tutoring to online. ALL the students I have tutored make significant progress with many securing the first choice University place or excellent grades at GCSE which enable them to study the A Levels of their choice. π©βπ I have some exciting announcements to make with regards to what I will be offering my students in September 2024, which I will announce on my Instagram profile. π€© Keep following! #onlinetutoring #gcsescience #examready

GCSE Science Revision Tips GCSE Past papers (and mark schemes) are a goldmine of information. Firstly, there are only so many questions that can be asked around a relatively short syllabus and if youβve done every past paper since the exam began you can count on some of the same questions coming up. Secondly, youβll begin to understand how the examiners want you to answer the questions and the exact words that theyβd like you to use. Letβs think about photosynthesis; the AQA GCSE mark schemes insist that you use the word light to describe where plants get their energy, sunlight is also allowed but you wouldnβt get the mark for just the sun! Know your enemy and get to grips with the mark schemes. #onlineclass #onlineclassroom #kidsclassessuttoncoldfield #gcsescience #gcsesciencetuition #gcsesciencerevision #education #kids #school #study #suttoncoldfield #sciencetuition #tuition

πβ‘ Here are the essentials you need to know about forms of energy: πΉ Forms of Energy: kinetic energy (energy of motion), potential energy (stored energy), thermal energy (heat energy), chemical energy (energy stored in chemical bonds), electrical energy (energy carried by electric currents), and nuclear energy (energy stored in atomic nuclei). πΉ Conservation of Energy: Energy can't be created or destroyed, only transformed or transferred within a closed system. This means that the total energy in a closed system remains constant over time. πΉ Energy Transfer: Energy moves between objects & transforms from one form to another. For example, when a ball is thrown upwards, kinetic energy is transformed into gravitational potential energy as the ball gains height. πΉ Efficiency measures how well a device converts energy from one form to another. It is calculated as the useful energy output divided by the total energy input, multiplied by 100% to express it as a percentage. No process is 100% efficient because energy is lost as waste heat. πΉ Renewable vs. Non-renewable: Solar, wind, hydroelectric, and biomass energy are renewable energy. They are replenished naturally and have minimal environmental impact. Fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas) and nuclear energy are non-renewable. They are finite and contribute to pollution and climate change. Understanding these energy concepts is key to sustainable energy practices! πΏ #EnergyEducation #SustainabilityMatters #GCSEScience #Revision #Energy #ScienceCafe

GCSE Science tuition We are mainly focussing on going over past paper questions now as we get nearer to the GCSE exams starting in May. We are focusing on exam technique, building confidence, understanding what the question is asking us and what the mark scheme requires from our answer to get the marks. We keep coming back to 6 mark questions which use the word βevaluateβ. It is important to remember this type of question requires you to make a judgement - a comparison on its own will only give you a level 1 answer which is 2marks. To get to level 2 and 3, you must have a judgement which is supported by the rest of your answer! #gcsesciencerevison #gcsesciencetutor #activitiesforchildren #gcsescience #education #kids #school #study #suttoncoldfield #sciencetuition #tuition #tutoring
