Was walking to the potty and caught a glimpse of this temporary table in the office. 10 years ago I sat at a table much bigger than this starting this boot camp of healing with a group of gals. 10 yeas later these books sit at the table for another 7 weeks of leading a hopeful gal to her freedom and healing. Besides loving and serving my family there is no greater joy than helping a woman to freedom and see chains be broken. God never intended us to just go through life passing by, He came to give life and that abundantly. Unfortunately trials, trauma , hurt and sin can rob us of that joy. But if you are willing to do the work and get to a place of brokenness, I guarantee there is freedom and joy waiting. God is still in the business of healing if you are willing to do the work! And I pray you do because I am a testimony of once feeling dead but now alive! Praying for you friends! #goinpeace

Chin Up On the heels of International Woman's Day and on the cusp of Saint Patrick's Day, I'm going to take a moment to reflect on a different hallmark, the fourth anniversary of the COVID pandemic. I'm still struggling in the aftermath, trying to understand what my take away from the experience is. I became a better observer, of myself and the world around me. I've been practicing being a documentarian of my observations. You may think that I am just bitching about people and things that irk me...if that's true for you, you probably shouldn't be following me. Feel welcome to set me free 🕊️ #goinpeace I'm not here on IG for the numbers, the leggings, to hold myself accountable, the challenges, to influence anyone or to become Somebody. Go in peace. Luke 8:48 The passage in Luke 8:40-56 tells the story of two people who were healed. One, a girl, about 12 years old, the daughter of a ruler and the other, a scorned woman who wore clothing soiled by blood for twelve years. Jesus was on the way to respond to the ruler’s daughter. The crowd was thick with curious onlookers and others maybe in need of healing. This woman, trying to stay hidden but desperate for a miracle, simply touched the fringe/hem of Jesus’s robe. She was immediately healed. She thought she might simply be thankful in private. But, Jesus wanted to see her, wanted her to know that her brave choice to reach for him had changed her life. Meanwhile, the little girl has died. Jesus is with the family in their home, possibly wondering why he stopped for the woman, maybe thinking their belief in him as a healer was a stupid mistake. When he said she’d be okay They laughed at him. (Luke 8:53) For many years I wished I hadn’t written in ink, the word “mama” here. I clung to this verse when she was not getting better and held onto faith that she would. And she didn’t. Conflicted for many years over believing and not seeing her healing, I still have pictures in my mind of her suffering. But, this morning I see the word “mama” here and I feel a sense of peaceful acceptance, my heart has healed here. I see such beauty in the way Jesus did and continues to respond to the desperate needs of us, no matter our standing. “Daughter, your faith has made you well, go in peace.” has become an invitation to live without remorse, without regret, without doubt that my Heavenly Father has never left me and has always known what was best, has come to me in my deepest needs, has maybe redirected his planned path to come close to me, to be so close He knows my every breath. 26 February 2024 • in my, God is my pilot era 🤲🏻🙏🏼 He knows better than me the foundation that was laid for my life. He has already foreseen all of my days. He knows better for me than I do myself. I’m laying it at his feet. Giving it to Him. Taking it one day at a time and opening my ears and eyes up wide to see and hear what he’s doing in my life. He’s at work on my vision, on my heart, on my soul, and my overall life. I’m a work in progress. Church taught me something new yesterday. When the pastor (or whatever you call them), says “go in peace” at the end of the sermon/service, that it has a deeper meaning to it. I’m sure this has a million different meanings and interpretations. I never thought too much about the meaning behind it but the pastor brought it up as we are studying the book of Luke right now. Yesterday, specifically we were reading the chapter about the immoral woman sinner who brings her Alabaster perfume to the dinner/lunch between Simon and Jesus. Where she kneels before Jesus and starts kissing his feet and weeping. The woman is forgiven for her actions and sins. She felt called to do this. Luke 7:50 (NLT) says, “and Jesus said to the woman, ‘Your faith has saved you; go in peace.’” Basically, meaning you don’t have to leave the way you came in. Deeper yet, you don’t have to continue to carry the weight yourself. You’re not meant to. Matthew 11:28 says, “come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.” Meaning, give it to Him and you shall rest. Deeper still, lay your worries, pain, anger, anxieties, whatever it is at His feet and you can go on in peace and rest your soul. Rest easy knowing he has your back and best interest in mind. Tiffin and Paprika’s lovely Uncle James passed away on Saturday after his long battle with cancer 💔 We are all absolutely devastated and will miss him more than he will ever know. How would your hope increase if you realized your sorrow is seen? What if you believed that God notices your longings, your tears, your needs? “And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Luke 7:13 ESV February, we welcome your air of love. We welcome your invitation to happy pink colors and demonstrations of love. Jesus, we thank you for the tender compassion you had and have for us. Each year, I settle on a theme for the calendar. I begin with art and end with twelve verses that express that theme. I’m afraid I’m not super intentional, I use my Bible App and searched “healing” or “well” and decided on 12. Randomly, I just assign them to months and let them minister to me and others in ways only God knows. The verse for February tells of the healing of a widow’s son. Jesus was passing by and he saw her weeping. He touched the base of the bier (a structure on which a coffin rests) and her son was revived. It’s not the miracle I love about this story, it’s the notice of this woman’s need by Jesus and his response that is encouraging me. February has an extra day this year. May it be a month filled with the embrace of the reality that we have a compassionate Lord who notices our needs. I have a few calendars remaining. I’ll leave them on my website through today in hopes that this message might touch you… Jesus has compassion on us. He sees our weeping. #2024calendar #goinpeace #compassion

Christ did make it clear in advance that hard times will come but it’s all part of God’s greater plan (John 15:20-21). His explicit purpose for this encouragement was to allow Christian’s to be aware without living in fear or confusion but rather live rest assured with peace knowing that God is in control. The “peace” Jesus speaks of is not worldly comfort, or even happiness. FOURTH TUESDAY OF ORDINARY TIME #GospelOfTheDay #Mark 5:21-43 When Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he stayed close to the sea. One of the synagogue officials, named Jairus, came forward. Seeing him he fell at his feet and pleaded earnestly with him, saying, "My daughter is at the point of death. Please, come lay your hands on her that she may get well and live." He went off with him and a large crowd followed him. There was a woman afflicted with hemorrhages for twelve years. She had suffered greatly at the hands of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet she was not helped but only grew worse. She had heard about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak. She said, "If I but touch his clothes, I shall be cured." Immediately her flow of blood dried up. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction. Jesus, aware at once that power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who has touched my clothes?" But his disciples said to him, "You see how the crowd is pressing upon you, and yet you ask, Who touched me?" And he looked around to see who had done it. The woman, realizing what had happened to her, approached in fear and trembling. She fell down before Jesus and told him the whole truth. He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction." While he was still speaking, people from the synagogue official's house arrived and said, "Your daughter has died; why trouble the teacher any longer?" Disregarding the message that was reported, Jesus said to the synagogue official, "Do not be afraid; just have faith." He did not allow anyone to accompany him inside except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James. When they arrived at the house of the synagogue official, he caught sight of a commotion, people weeping and wailing loudly. So he went in and said to them, "Why this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep." And they ridiculed him. Then he put them all out. He took along the child's father and mother and those who were with him and entered the room where the child was...👇

As believers, we have so many gifts from our Heavenly Father, and one of the best gifts we receive is peace. Today, we don't have to be overwhelmed by life, this world, or our responsibilities. We have the privilege of tapping into God's peace, which surpasses all human understanding. Father, help us experience the fullness of your peace. We lay every decision, task, opportunity, burden, conversation, problem, and situation at Your feet. We ask that You guide us along the right path that brings honor to Your name. We are depending on You to give us the wisdom, strategy, solution, and our next step for today. We refuse to fall into the traps of anxiety and despair because You have already given us peace. Today Impact Worship Center blessed me and surprised me with an appreciation for 1 year of Pastoring!
