It’s gonna be MAY, but first, let‘s recap april 🗓️ Ich bin gerade in meiner „lass einfach machen“ Mood, deshalb egaaaaal, wenn ich mit meinem April Recap etwas später komme. Hatte Bock, aber komme erst jetzt dazu 🌝 1) Aloha Hippie Vibes; Ich hätte es nie gedacht, aber ich hab meine erste Schlaghose an. Das letzte mal ist Jahrzente her 🥲 2) Nachdem ich letzten Monat seit langem wieder gekränkelt hab, konnte ich in diesen Monat wieder voll in meine Routine starten… 4:44 Uhr Wake up & work out 🔥 3) Liebs, dass ich morgens beim laufen nun auch wieder den Sonnenaufgang erlebe & es nicht mehr stockfinster ist. 4) 🤍 5) Den Monat über viel an unser neues Zuhause gedacht 😍 Wie stellen, wir was hin? Was brauchen wir neu? Und ganz viel Vorfreude!!! 6) Umzugsunternehmen beauftragt & ich war sehr fleißig alles in Kisten zu packen, damit wir perfekt vorbereitet sind. 7) Ich nenne es „Salbei-Mermaid mit Matt-Finish“ 💅🏽 8) Diese Ambivalenz an Gefühlen in mir ist einfach krass. Ich hab Momente, die so düster sind, voller Frust, Wut & Leere und parallel dazu schwebe ich beflügelt in einer anderen Welt, in der ich fantasiere, manifestiere & das Leben romantisiere. 9) Unendlich dankbar für die Menschen in meinem Leben, die mich exakt so nehmen wie ich bin. Dieses Gefühl der bedingungslosen Annahme & Liebe für all meine Facetten, 😮‍💨 das bedeutet mir aktuell so verdammt viel 🥹 10) Fast ein Jahr her…. Und ich kam erst jetzt dazu die ersten Einsrücke von unserer Jordanien-Reise auf meinem Reiseaccount @yourwanderlustvacation zu teilen. 🇬🇧 I spent a lovely afternoon in Hervanta today. 🌞 I started by shopping at UFF, with great success: I found some clothes and a linen sauna seat cover. 🤩🛍️ After shopping, I headed to the Hervanta public natatorium to lift weights and splash around. I haven't properly swum since my high school days, so I was quite surprised when I managed to swim the entire length of the pool in one go. 💪 I swam a total of 250 meters, which is 10 times from one end of the pool to the other. The day was sunny and warm, +18 degrees Celsius, so it was the perfect day for the first outdoor ice cream of the year. 🍨 Fazer's raspberry yoghurt stick was super delicious! 😋 🇫🇮 Vietin tänään mukavan iltapäivän Hervannassa. 🌞 Aloitin shoppailemalla Duon UFFilla, hyvällä menestyksellä: löysin 3 vaatetta ja pellavaisen laudeliinan. 🤩🛍️ Shoppailun jälkeen siirryin Hervannan uimahallille nostamaan rautaa (🤭) ja polskimaan. Olen viimeksi uinut kunnolla joskus peruskouluaikoina, joten yllätyin melkoisesti, kun jaksoin uida koko altaanmitan kerralla. 💪 Uin yhteensä 250 m, eli 10 kertaa altaan päästä päähän. 🇬🇧 The theme of the 14th driving lesson was tight turns. 🚗 We drove the basic route through Nekala to Viinikka and navigated through very small and narrow alleys, probably around Viinikanpuisto. We also practiced hill starts on a fairly steep hill. Finally, we returned to school using the same route. I still don't have a good grasp of the car's dimensions, so I was nervous about passing other cars on narrow streets. 😅 However, it was really nice to practice slow turns and clutch control, as I'm still unsure about those. The weather was really nice: sunny and +18 degrees Celsius warm. 🌞 It was quite hot inside the car, though, so I think in the future it would be best for me to drive without a long-sleeved shirt. 🇫🇮 14. ajotunnin teemana oli tiukat käännökset. 🚗 Ajoimme perusreittiä Nekalan kautta Viinikkaan ja pyörimme siellä tosi pienillä ja kapeilla kujilla, varmaankin Viinikanpuiston ympäristössä. Harjoittelimme myös mäkilähtöjä melko jyrkässä mäessä. Lopuksi palasimme samaa reittiä takaisin koululle. En vielä hahmota kunnolla auton ulkomittoja, joten kuumotti ohittaa toisia autoja kapeilla pikkuteillä. 😅 Oli kuitenkin tosi mukavaa harjoitella hitaasti kääntymistä ja kytkimen käyttöä, koska niissä olen vielä epävarma. I needed to step in the puddles of my half digested emotions, words, bile and all the other shit that falls out of you, for the light to go on. Something in your past life was missing so in this life, you've become a consumer. Your hungry eyes gobble up everything they see. But it's not enough, you still want more. So you haunt me until you take everything that I have to offer. Then you float away to the next person that you think has something to make you whole again and do the same to them. There's nothing original about you, because you never take the time to digest anything, you just keep shoveling more in your mouth. Now we're both empty and you're still lost. ɢʜᴏꜱᴛᴇᴅ I'm a slow learner. It takes me a while to catch on. That's okay 'cause Bangkok is a patient teacher. She keeps on pressing the lesson home until you finally get the point. The point in this case is my own impermanence. It's easy to get absorbed by this city, there's lots to overwhelm you. I can remember the first time this lesson was presented to me, it came delivered by way of a dead pigeon. It was in the middle of our Soi one morning and for almost a week there it stayed. No one picked it up, they walked around it or drove over it until it was smashed into the asphalt and not even a feather was left to remember it by. Abra Kadabra, your part of Krung Thep forever now. The next time this lesson was pointed out to me was by way of a pair of fruit vendors on Asoke Montri. Two older ladies that set up their wares on the steps of the local hardware store early weekday mornings. Lola and I used to stop and chat with them, sometimes we did gentle stretching together and I practiced my Thai. One morning they were both gone. Vanished. I asked their neighbors, the other vendors, the propane guys, the people at the market, the monks and motosai on the corner. The best answer I received was, "finished". Finished, what the hell is that supposed to mean? Did they die, move away or win the lottery. No solid explanation was ever forthcoming. Just finished. The couple that have operated the car wash next door to the studio were the next to disappear. After ten years, one day they were gone too. I considered them friends, so I asked the motosai and Khun X at the car wash what happened? Did they go on vacation, home to Esan, is someone sick, in jail, kidnapped by pirates? The answer is never concrete. A series of shrugs and broken English. They look down at their feet and not at me, it feels like I am missing part of the equation. I want more than they have to offer and they wonder why I am so self absorbed. They're just gone, like a ghost. No explanation. No goodbyes. None are needed. ✨Dear Insta journal, Today, I want to celebrate a personal victory I’m proud of!🥳 For 8 weeks, I followed a very low-calorie diet, cutting any type of carbs, sugar, dairy, fats/oil, processed foods, and alcohol.🚫 It sounds like there isn’t much choice left to eat, but actually, it brought awareness and curiosity to getting a better knowledge about all the various healthy food options!🍅🥦🥕 It was tough initially, with my body undergoing significant changes, but I was committed!💪🏽 There was one particular challenge when we were at the movie theater and I couldn’t have popcorn.🙈 Movies and popcorn have always been a perfect match for me since I was a kid!😍🍿 But overall, stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing clean and organic foods was a valuable lesson.🍎🥝🫐 I’m grateful for this experience and committed to maintaining healthy eating habits going forward. Day 28 of A Hundred Happy Days 🌳 I’m a walk in the park girlie through and through. I love walking in the morning I love walking in the evening and I absolutely love walking on empty streets at night. It just brings me calm. I love putting my earplugs in, listening to a podcast/some music and going on a walk by myself to just unwind. The 🔑 being doing the activity “by myself”. Makes me really happy. This is my safe space. These are the secret gardens in my mind ❤️🧿 1. Poetry - I have learnt to turn my pain into poetry and my heart heals with words. 2. Books - Books gave me a home. I have always felt seen, books are my saviour. 3. Library- I love a library. @inbritish library has been my second home and it will always be. 4. My Sister- @catshitaaa is my human diary. I love her and I feel the safest with her. 5.Taylor Alison Swift- I mean I grew up with her music. Her music will always be the soundtrack of my life. 6. Walks- Going on walks is like putting on internal noise cancelling headphones. My anxiety calms down. 7. Cooking - Cooking has helped me improve my relationship with food and body so much. 8. Art- When the lines overlap I go to colour them. My brain seems to untangle every dark thought with art. 9. Spirituality- I have had a confusing and difficult relationship with my religion until I learnt to rediscover faith and practice it on my own terms. It brings me peace that only I know how to have. 10. Therapy- I took to therapy again this year and it's been better. If you can please take it. Therapy helps you see the secret gardens of your mind. 🇬🇧 The 13th driving lesson went quite well considering it had been over 3 months since the last one. 😅 We drove the basic route in the nearby industrial area, which included driving at 30, 40, and 50 km/h zones, a tight U-turn at the end of the road, hill start exercises, and passing a big street sweeper twice. At the beginning of the lesson, there was a slight drizzle, but otherwise the driving conditions were quite good: the weather was bright but cloudy, and the temperature was a few degrees Celcius above zero. It was nice to drive on thawed ground, as all the road markings were visible, and the lanes were wide. Also, maintaining a steady speed somehow felt easier than in winter. The next driving lesson is already on Monday, so here we go again! 😎🚗 🇫🇮 13. ajotunti sujui melko hyvin siihen nähden, että edellisestä kerrasta ehti vierähtää yli 3 kuukautta. 😅 Ajoimme peruslenkin ruskolla, johon sisältyi ajamista 30, 40 ja 50 km/h alueilla, tiukka U-käännös tien päässä, mäkilähtöharjoituksia sekä harjakoneen ohittaminen 2 kertaa. Tunnin alussa tihkutti vähän vettä, mutta muuten ajo-olosuhteet olivat oikein hyvät: sää oli kirkas mutta pilvinen ja mittari näytti muutamaa lämpöastetta. Oli mukavaa ajaa sulan maan aikana, kun tiestä näki kaikki merkinnät ja kaistat olivat leveitä. Myös tasaisen vauhdin säilyttäminen oli jotenkin helpompaa kuin talvella.
