I haven't updated this account for ages, and to be honest, I wasn't sure if I ever was going to... Long story, short I sadly crashed the skoda a few months ago, avoiding a deer whilst on the way to work. I was okay, but the car was less so. Sadly, it has since been scrapped. Not after all the best bits had been removed, and sold on to live on other projects. It's replacment couldn't be more different! I test drove many cars, but after looking at several FN2's I knew that the K20 powered spaceship was what I wanted. It had to be a later face lifted version and ideally with the LSD. This being the Championship White model, it ticks both of those boxes! I picked this one up for an absaloute bargain, and although it did need some work to get it fighting fit it still cost me much less than most that are currently for sale. Under my ownership, I have already carried out a few mods. Alpine double din headunit (essential), HKS induction kit, Genuine GP kit, Team Dynamics Pro Race LT's, Skunk 2 gear knob. Quite a few mechanical bits have been refreshed namely both driveshafts which is a common problem on these cars, and many parking dings have been removed! Next plans will involve a 421 manifold, stainless exhaust, possibly a new inlet manifold, and then mapped to suit. Honda FN2 Type R Championship Edition in for the following: 1) Snow foam. 2) A conditioning shampoo was used which works well when washing the car, providing a deep clean and a water repellent protective finish. 3) Full Valet. 4) A 1 stage paint correction to remove light swirls on the car, slight hazing and to bring out the shine within the paint. The product provides a cut, an intense gloss shine with a protective wax coating. 5) The dashboard and door panels received cabinshine which provides a protective coating which allows it to shine as well. 6) Headlight restoration. 7) Ceramic Spray coating applied to coat and protect the paint for months to come. This FN2 is a stunner. The paint has a wetlook reflection to it and I am pleased with the results 🙂👌🏻.
