If you know me, you know that I love Leadership. I’m always a student of leadership. This has me constantly studying styles, stories, presentations, panels, videos, blogs, newsletters, books, emails, mastermind’s and discussions. I sit in meetings taking notes on what makes a great leader even better in a moment. Jotting down snippets from aha’s I experience in leadership sessions... Some good... some not good. It’s made me who I am as a leader. I am an authentic leader, and I believe that this world needs more authentic leaders. Someone who shows up for people with heart and passion. 4/14/24 Race Journal: Half Marathon Unplanned 🏃♂️ •Pre-Race: Awesome evening with @coryiannacone and his mother, Sharon. Dinner at Off The Hook.🍽️ Stayed over at Sharon’s beautiful home in Bethany, felt right at home. Grateful 🙏 •Race Day Breakfast: Woke up early to my favorite pre-race breakfast @drinklmnt (salt is life-zero muscle cramps) and BBB-Bagel, Banana, Butter (peanut) The perfect fuel! 😋 •Mental Mantra: Kept repeating to myself during the run, “Your body has no business telling you what to do!” 💪 •Tech Gear Love: Totally loved the Mojawa Run Plus headphones. Next test: swimming with them! 🎧🏊 •Family Vibes: Missed @jessica_t_nova , Madison, and Kaitlyn at the finish line, but having them control my Spotify playlist while I was running kept me pumped and felt like they were with me 🎶 •The Value of Challenges: Choosing difficult paths isn’t about proving something to others—it’s about proving to ourselves what we’re capable of. Each step in this race was a step toward understanding and expanding my limits. It’s a reminder that working on ourselves is a continuous journey of growth. 🌱 •Mental Clarity Through Adversity: The clarity that comes from overcoming challenges is unparalleled. It helps strip away the non-essentials, focusing us on what truly matters. This race, like every hard thing tackled intentionally, was a MEDITATION IN MOTION, clearing the mind while the body moved. 🏃♂️🧘 ❤️ •Embracing the Journey: I’m learning that the journey of self-improvement and mental development is never linear. It’s filled with highs and lows, and each experience—especially the tough ones—builds a stronger, more resilient version of ourselves. I’m grateful for these moments, for they are the true tests of our spirit. 🌟 •Post-Run Chill: The best part? Jumping into the ocean for a cold plunge with Cory and Beth. I had such an awesome time at the GoBundance event recently. These guys are so inspiring. They inspire my work and leadership every day.
