I’m back! What a fun Disney vacation we had and I cannot wait to share all our fun with you! First things first; I want to share about Coronado Springs resort! It didn’t take long for me to fall head over heels with this resort. It’s GORGEOUS! This was my first time staying here and we opted for the Gran Destino Tower with a water view. Pros: So much fun here. Games everywhere, super great playground that sticks with the resort theming. Fun pool and water slide. I thought the food court food was delicious (try the Barbacoa Rice Bowl). It’s just as beautiful at night and right at the Gran Destino Tower is where you will find Movies Under the Stars. Plenty of seating to enjoy the views. Four bus stops on property, so you don’t have to walk far to get on a bus to the parks! Cons: This is a very large resort, mostly because of the water that the resort surrounds. If you find yourself staying here, I would highly recommend the Gran Destino Tower or at least staying preferred. While the pool and playground are more centralized, the food court, gift shop, bell services and bars are in the Gran Destino Tower so it could be a bit of a walk to snag a quick meal. Very minor Disney theming. Not that this is a deal breaker for me, but I think my daughter was missing it a little after staying in a Royal Guest Room last trip. I also personally did not prefer the way the split bathroom worked compared to other resorts, especially with a child with. Overall, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only thing I wish it had was a balcony to enjoy those gorgeous views! It feels very deluxe without the price tag of deluxe (even if you upgrade to the Gran Destino Tower). I’m seriously considering swapping my next trip to here, but I’m torn on trying out another “new to me” resort! Have you stayed at Coronado Springs? 🏰 Another spring break family is back from Walt Disney World! They stayed at Gran Destino Tower (one of my new favorite resorts!!) and they liked it so much that they will stay here again! 🌵 With only 2 days in the parks, they opted for a park hopper ticket and used it a lot!! On day 1️⃣ they went to 3 parks and walked 26,000 steps 🥵 On day 2️⃣ they had some bad storms, but like any good vacationer would do, they put on their ponchos, got the umbrellas, and went out to have fun ☔️☔️☔️ 😎 My favorite part of this review was that their daughter was afraid of rollercoasters when they arrived, but once she rode one, she was hooked and wanted to do all of the scary rides! The breakfast is top notch and the evening appetizers were delicious — enough for a meal! Make sure to ask for speciality drinks — both alcoholic and mocktails. Today, let us take a moment to appreciate Gran Destino Tower, the moderate resort that feels like a deluxe. Not only is Gran Destino Tower home to Toledo, one of only two Michelin rated restaurants at Walt Disney World, which you can read all about on our blog (link in our bio), but this resort is beautiful, especially when considering its moderate status. . The lobby lives up to the resort’s name: it truly is grand with vibrant artwork and towering majestic pillars. One just wouldn’t expect to stumble upon such elegance at a moderate resort, and yet Gran Destino Tower manages to be both upscale and relatively affordable (at least for Disney’s standards). . The resort also offers amazing views of Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. When our family stayed there last Autumn, we could see Tower of Terror from our room! And the vistas are even more impressive from the Dahlia Lounge on the sixteenth floor. For all this, Gran Destino Tower is a hidden gem, and it’s certainly worth a stay. .
