Have you rode TRON yet?
A couple of tips before you ride
Get in the virtual queue on the Disney app. You can get in at 7am before you go to the parks or they open another queue at 1pm but you have to be in Magic Kingdom for the afternoon queue.
They provide lockers for free for your large items. The lockers can hold a backpack but they’re not much bigger than that.
Have your magic band or card ready after you’ve been “uploaded”. You’ll have to use one of these to utilize the lockers.
Try not to wear loose shoes on the ride. Or if you do, try to secure them or sit with your feet as close to the foot plates.
I rode with a guy recently that had to wear slides because his sneakers were wet from the rain. Once he was locked in, his shoe started to fall off and I had to twist out to help him put it back on.
The ride is short but that first loop is so cool especially at night. If you can get in the virtual queue for a night ride, do it!

📉 September is notorious for lower crowds (with the exception of weekends). This means less time waiting in line, and more time enjoying everything at the parks!

My top tips with taking a baby/toddler to Disney. Feel free to share your own tips below!
✨ Stay onsite! The convenience of Disney transportation to/from your resort makes it so much more convenient for naps and getting back to your resort at the end of the day. I typically recommend a monorail or skyliner resort.
✨ Plan rest days! I recommend no more than 2 park days in a row. You, your baby/toddler, and your sanity all need a rest! Enjoy the pool, the resort, maybe Disney springs or a character meal at another resort.
✨ Go into each day with 1-2 must do’s for each person. Then everything else is just a bonus! You need to account for diaper changes, naps, bottle feeds or meals/snacks, meltdowns and much needed AC breaks. You can’t do everything with a baby and that’s ok!
Lastly, take the trip! People say “they’ll never remember it!” But I do! And while he may not remember it in detail like I do, he sees videos of himself riding the teacups and hugging Mickey and he cannot wait to go back! Every day he says he wants to go to Disney!

This week I am going to talk about Walt Disney World's largest and newest theme park, Animal Kingdom. Yes, that's correct, this is the largest park on property covering 450 acres! But don't let the name fool you, this park is way more than just a "zoo".
The animals are a very big part of this park, since it contains a 110-acre safari, walking trails that feature gorillas and tigers, and also several other animal exhibits. But did you know this park also features e-ticket rides, engaging shows, and wonderful dining options? I will dive in a little deeper into some of the rides, delicious dining options and other things you can do in Animal Kingdom on your next Walt Disney World vacation this week.
Here's an interesting fact...did you know Animal Kingdom was supposed to have unicorns and dragons? Beastly Kingdom was on the original plans for this park but was later canceled! Ever notice the dragon on the Animal Kingdom sign when you walk into the park? Take a look next time you go.

A must do at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party is the Jack and Sally meet and greet from The Nightmare Before Christmas!
This meet and greet starts as early as 4:30pm at the Town Square Theatre on party days! If this meet and greet is on your bucket list, try getting in line as soon as you get to the park around 4:00pm as lines for these characters can get up to 2+ hours long during the party!

Most people skip out on Magic Kingdom on these days and the crowd level is low! Just look at those wait times!
We have done this and got REFUNDED for Genie+ 🧞♂️ because we didn’t have to use it!

It’s a new week which means more tips! ✏️
Whether you do minimal planning or schedule activities down to the minute, deciding on what day to visit each Walt Disney World park is important. Epcot, in particular, can be tricky. Specially-themed festivals make up most of its calendar year which increase attendance:
- Spring: Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
- Summer: Epcot International Food & Wine Festival
- Winter: Epcot International Festival of the Holidays
- Winter (Post-Holidays): Epcot International Festival of the Arts
Due to all of the festivities, Epcot tends to be its busiest on the weekends. It is the most “local” park for those that live in the area; they frequently visit festivals on days off from work as a result. Stick with early to mid week for a less crowded park. If a festival is not scheduled during your trip, this strategy will help make your park time a bit more enjoyable.

1. Lightning Lane - the physical line you’ll enter at Disney World to skip the standby line
2. Genie+ - the paid service you can use to book Lightning Lanes while at Disney World (or Disneyland).
3. Rope Drop - what people commonly say when they are referring to early entry or to getting to the parks before they officially open to be there when it does open!
4. ILL - Abbreviation for Individual Lightning Lane. This is another paid option separate from Genie+ that allows you to pay to skip the standby line of Disney’s more popular rides (TRON, Seven Dwarves, Flight of Passage, and Rise of the Resistance)

Animal Kingdom, although known for its animals, has several rides and attractions that do not disappoint! Let's talk about some of the rides within this underrated park.
The headline attraction is Avatar Flight of Passage. Take a ride on the back of a banshee through Pandora! This is a next-gen "flying theater" experience in the Pandora section of the park. Also in Pandora is Na'vi river Journey, a gentle boat ride through a lush jungle. The most thrilling attraction is definitely Expedition Everest! With a top speed of 50 mph and some potent G-forces, this ride is not for the faint of heart. PRO TIP: save some time in line for this ride in the single rider line..
Other attractions and rides in this park are Kilimanjaro Safaris where you will see lots of animals roaming the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, Dinosaur, a trip back in time to prehistoric times, Kali River Rapids, a raft ride perfect for a warm day, It's Tough to be a Bug, a 4-D movie attraction and TriceraTop Spin, a fun ride for the little ones. Next time you are in Animal Kingdom, make sure to take advantage of these unique rides and of course, the animal exhibits.

Happy first day of OBB! Here are some tips I learned from last year:
🔸Bring a large bag to carry all that amazing candy. You can go through as many treat trails as you want and as many times as you want!
🔸Get there at 2:00 to be able to enter the park at 3:00. Enter through The Grand Californian to avoid lines.
🔸Mobile order any food you want early in the night! They fill up and you don’t want to go hungry or waste time waiting in lines.
🔸Photopass is included, take as many photos as possible.
🔸Take all your group photos as soon as you get there, the night gets crazy and you don’t want to miss documenting all your hard work.
🔸If your outfit is uncomfortable, bring a change of clothes. You don’t want to walk around in heels all night!
🔸Wear/Bring layers. It could be very hot or cold, just be prepared.
🔸Watch the second parade. During the first parade, go see the characters that might have the longest lines: Judge Doom, Sanderson Sisters or Bruno.
🔸Always have your “must do” list in mind, but be flexible. I was so excited to see Ernesto De La Cruz, but his line was hours long! I kept checking back and during the second parade, it was a walk-in! Soooo worth it🙌
🔸Don’t miss meeting rare characters throughout the park. Lotso should be in Pixar Pier!
🔸Wait until the end of the night to get into line for Villains grove so you don’t waste your night. I got in line at 10:45pm and was able to see the entire thing!
