Stripe Hype Sweater by Veronika Lindberg @kutovakika is, hands down, my most worn sweater this spring! I cast it on March 7th, just few days after #stripeskalwithkika with Kika started, and finished March 14th. It was so enjoyable and engaging knit that I just couldn't stop 🤷♀️ I was off gauge a bit, so I closed arm holes faster than pattern suggested for my size. For the same reason sleeve cuffs need to be shorter. Body ribbing could be a bit longer for a change... but I run out of the main colour, so I decided to finish up with two rounds of colour 4, and that way I have all ribbings finished in the same style. I love my taupe and green striped sweater so so much, it's just perfect everyday piece to throw on when needed. Basic but definitely not ordinary! And I can't rule out that in the fall I will make a version in dusty yellows, oranges and reds with the addition of browns... in fact, I think it's very very possible 🤭 . I really enjoyed this small bit of #greenstuff work to my @warhammerofficial #adeptuscustodes conversion. The scabbard at the rear has a substantial hollow section to allow for a curve in the cape to slot into. As I've adjusted the height and stance, and will have the Cape flow back slightly I've had to fill this area in and mimick the detail that was there.

My entry to this year's #smashbash competition. I had a great time working on this piece. I just wish my lazy ass didn't wait for the last three days to do the majority of work. I enjoyed exploring my own paint style. Despite lots of kitbashing last year, I only painted one model since 2020. Doing a grim dark paint job is a super fun process, but I was trying to keep it more controlled and precise because I spent countless hours sculpting and kitbashing lots of details and I didn't want to lose them under tons of weathering. And yet I wanted to convey deep horror of contamination and decay. I hope I found that balance. I'll be posting more pictures in a different post. Honestly I never got why they designed a small portion of reins on the hand of the she-elf but not the entire reins. I made them out of #greenstuff.
