Remnants of the Shattered Tower. Tyrants of Oasis Σ-318N. I’ve put together this rag tag group of Iron Warriors for @stone.jaw’s Brothers of Promethium setting. The Dispute of Iron was a purge of Perturabo’s sons that left many companies utterly destroyed; including the Shattered Tower. Amidst the chaos they fled into deep space and were soon swallowed by a warp storm. Months became minutes, seconds became years, and as the storm cleared, the survivors of the Shattered Tower found themselves plummeting toward Promethium’s rust-red sands. Blight Dragoon. This lil chicken has sat nearly done on my shelf with other miniatures in a similar state. I’m going to try to push them over the finish line together. As his name suggests, he’s half Blight Hauler, half Ironstrider Dragoon. He’s part of a Dark Mechanicum project I may yet return to, with a Nurgle-worshipping machine cult building machines into the daemonic forms they glimpse in the scrap code. World of Terror Another page of sketches from my passion project I drew day before yesterday. World of Terror A dystopian sci-fi setting where a Nazi social Darwinist regime has selected disabled and unneeded individuals for elimination as "useless eaters". It sends out Death Squads to kill them so that the weak wouldn't be a burden for the strong. Death Squaddies use arcane ray guns that shoot Starvation Rays that cause victims body to consume itself slowly and painfully as long as its exposed to the rays. Over 90% of the society is members of Death Squads. Not all go down without a fight, though. Finally got my laser back up and working and I've been playing around with trying to use it as a way of making larger necromunda bases and seeing if I can make a desk for my guild of coin palanquin. It's a bit rough but the results aren't terrible for either and I've learnt a lot from the whole process and I'm positive some fine tuning and the results next time will be improved. I might even try and add some more detail in the design as well. Group shot! Debating how well this scheme would work on a vehicle now - always liked the idea of a grey knights land raider. Or perhaps another dreadnought? Painting wise, the armour is: Drybrush thondia brown, drybrush leadbelecher, drybrush stormhost silver. Gold is retributor armour. Parchment, bones and seals are wraithbone. Shield is ulthuan grey, red is Baal red contrast. Wax and halberd haft is flesh tearers red. Armour joints are mechanicus standard grey. Then, wash Agrax earthshade on haft and on parchment. Seal the model with varnish and let it cure. Then wash the whole model with ak streaking grime, then remove it with a sponge or q tip. Finally, once the enamel has cured, reapply some stormhost silver to give the armour a bit more pop. Tinkering with some PLA ammo belts ;) Interestingly I seem to have hit some magic geometry where the collision of the individual links prevents the connection from bending too much and snapping. Hence those belts are very sturdy! I've been bending it back and forth for the better part of an hour now. The flex resin experiments I did quite a while ago weren't printing successfully. The first(finished) miniature for my upcoming wargame CONTRAVENTOR, inspired primarily by Gundam and the 28 Aesthetic, this particular mini was made mostly from a Gunpla kit, with some GS sculpting and other bits to give it more character.
