🌤️ Finally picked up the statue of the Greek goddess Victory, or Nike. Or known as the Winged Victory of Samopthrace, an island. She graces the Louvre in Paris. Have been looking to get her for a while. Love the way she stands. Powerful and confident. The original in Louvre stands 5.57 meters (18 ft, 3 in). Mine is much smaller 😁 We were in Paris 20 years ago, unfortunately the Louvre was closed at that time, due to a strike. This nursery 🤎 it all started with the cappuccino brown wallpaper I found online and immediately wanted to incorporate in this design. I decided to go all neutral with a few dusty pink pieces. I figured the best way to soak in the art of mixing age and styles in home decor, is to show some stills of shelf styling. This built-in is to the left of the one in my last reel. I already removed one item here (as shown in 2nd pic) to create better balance with a change I had made on the other side. I loved having it here, but needed “less” to balance a more minimal look I opted for to the right. Any time you bring something new into a space, you may need to adjust what is already there- love it or not! 🌤️I’m moving back down into my bedroom. No it’s not completely finished but I don’t care. I couldn’t take another night sleeping on the floor upstairs. First it’s way to hot for my liking upstairs. And second my kids are noisy. I need my sleep quiet sleep. The only good thing about sleeping upstairs was I couldn’t hear the dogs running back and forth and back and forth. So what is left to do? Way to much. Finish painting walls and ceiling, electrical, bedroom door replacement and all the trim work.
