Pfirsich-Mandarinen Streuselkuchen Zutaten: 1 Dose Tortenpfirsiche 1 Dose Mandarinen 150 g weiche Butter 130 g Zucker 1 Päckchen Vanillezucker 1 Prise Salz Etwas Zitronenaroma 4 Eier 250 g Mehl 3 gestrichene Teelöffel Backpulver Streusel: 180 g Weizenmehl 80 g Zucker 1 Päckchen Vanillezucker 100 g weiche Butter Zubereitung: Als erstes den Backofen auf 180° vorheizen. Das Backblech fetten. Das Obst in einem Sieb gut abtropfen lassen. Die Butter geschmeidig rühren, nach und nach Zucker, Vanillezucker, Salz und Zitronenaroma hinzufügen. So lange rühren, bis eine gebundene Masse entsteht. Nun jedes Ei etwa 30 Minuten unterrühren. Das Mehl mit dem Backpulver mischen sieben und kurz unterrühren. Den Teig auf das Backblech geben, glatt streichen und mit dem Obst belegen. Nun die Zutaten für die Streusel vermengen und auf dem Obst verteilen. Bei 180° 40 Minuten backen. Den erkalteten Kuchen, gegebenenfalls mit Puderzucker bestreuen. Wer mag, kann circa 100 g Gramm Puderzucker mit etwas Zitronensaft verrühren und den Kuchen direkt nach dem backen damit bestreichen. Das habe ich jedoch diesmal nicht gemacht.

Last year Hornbys new Class 91 and DVT in the Intercity swallow livery got added to my fleet, these models from hornbys excellent models and really were a must for me as I already have 8 of the original old tooling mk4 coaches which my original class 91 that I got quite a few years ago now really struggles to pull the whole rake, quite possibly hornbys best electric locomotive so far it’s great to finally see the 91 and DVT get a retool and finally feature things like directional lighting, I will definitely be looking to fit sound to these as I love the sound of a Class 91 and a DVT horn is just incredible. While the older mk4 coaches may not be as good as the new tool ones I really don’t have any intention to replace my rake of mk4s with the new tooled versions, amazingly the new 91 and DVT actually have a really good colour match to the original mk4 coaches from hornby so overall even though I will be running older coaches with the newer locomotive there really isn’t much difference between them. Added to the fleet recently as well was this HST power car, numbered 43013 this power car represents one of the Surrogate DVTs which were HST power cars fitted with buffers to run with the 91s when they had to haul mk3 coaches due to the mk4s and mk4 DVTs still under construction. Both the Mk4 DVT and the HST DVT have had their accessories fitted, the DVT photo is an old one and doesn’t show them but they are fitted, the 91 hasn’t had any accessories fitted as I do like using the front coupling but that may change at some point as I have found a way to fit details and still have the model couple up to stock. Last year I bought my first pack of the hornby super detailed class 43 HSTs this version being the one with the buffers fitted which I really like the look of, I initially intended to use this with a rake of the short mk3 coaches I already had in intercity livery but the colours didn’t match and it didn’t look very good but luckily a trip out to Doncaster about a couple of weeks after I had purchased these ended up with me bringing back 6 hornby intercity swallow mk3 coaches which look much better, These super detailed HSTs from hornby are excellent and as I have recently got the capabilities for DCC I might look at adding sound to these power cars.
