TC 2014: Victoria considers sites for E&N Rail terminal A new E&N Rail terminal should be located on city green space being created through the elimination of the S-curve on the western approach to the new Johnson Street Bridge, says Victoria Coun. Ben Isitt. “I think when we look at the economic vitality of the downtown, it’s important as the commercial and employment centre of Vancouver Island,” said Isitt, the Capital Regional District appointee to the Island Corridor Foundation, which owns the rail corridor. “I think shortening the distance from the downtown to the rail terminus should be the top priority in site selection.” The green space is one of three possible terminal sites identified in a staff report going to councillors on Thursday. Making their final journey on the Moscow Metro, life expired 81-717 and 81-714 “Nomernoy” carriages are seen travelling from storage at Rudnyovo Doeot to Mitino Depot where they shall be scrapped. To transport these life expired carriages between depots, some refurbished carriages of the same type were loaned from Sokol depot to take the eight carriage train, two carriages at a time, along a complicated route via the Nekrasovskaya, Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya, Koltsevaya, Zamoskvoretskaya and Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Lines. The train is seen at Vykhino, Lermontovsky Prospekt and Taganskaya on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya Line, Kosino on the Nekrasovskaya Line, Paveletskaya on the Koltsevaya Line and Kievskaya on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya.
