BEAGLES TOSS IT OFF AT OSSINGTON We started the day with plans to keep an eye on the Barlow's behaviour, however a last minute tip off had us bombing south to Ossington with @lincolnhuntsaboteurs , where we found a collection of would be hare hunters gathered around the Holme and Colne Valley Beagles hound van. A couple of blasts on the horn had support scrabbling for their binoculars for a view of our lovely vehicle full of sabs waving from the horizon. Once again, their attempts to kill hares in the defunct Ecclesfield Beagles country had been thwarted. After making sure the hound van got on the right track to the Holmfirth area (the H&CVB really didn't seem to want to go home, for some reason) we got back on the way to Barlow, to catch the end of their closing meet. Putting our drone to good use and, as usual, finding stragglers all over the shop. Happy they were done, we headed for home for the final time this fox hunting season! 17th February 2024, Cambridgeshire with Enfield Chace at Odsey. An easy day for us today as we joined @northlondon_huntsabs @eastnorthantshuntsabs and @nshuntsabs to sab a hunt we don't do that often. With most hunts in the region cancelled due to waterlogged conditions, we made the long trip over to Hertfordshire. All very uneventful as we followed the mounted hunt around several fields and woodlands. It was all over by about 2pm with not very much to report. The goons on quads admitted that there might be 'accidents' today but with sabs all over them everywhere they turned the hunt seemed at a loss and had to keep stopping. A few brand new sabs out with us today, so a handy training day for them. Perhaps we'll do a proper hunt next week, not like this bunch of part timers... 10/02/2024 Hare shoot, Hardingham Norfolk followed by West Norfolk Foxhounds at Tilney St Lawrence Following a tip off about a potential hare shoot in Hardingham we met up with @nshuntsabs @sono.sabs and Norfolk and Suffolk Against Live Quarry Hunting to try and put a stop to it. With brown hare numbers in this region in decline and shooting being one of a number of reasons for this decline it's vital to be able to stop these idiots from massacring this majestic creature wherever possible. There is no 'closed season' for shooting hares. https://www.norfolkwildlifetrust.org.uk/wildlife-in-norfolk/species-explorer/mammals/brown-hare We weren't able to shut this one down completely but we delayed it for a couple of hours which made the shooters sad so they called the police. A Lord of the Rings cast reject turned up with a couple of mates and threatened us with arrest for Aggravated Trespass so we left the field. Henry Edwards, who owns Hardingham Farms and the land the shoot was on and was also once a master of the West Norfolk Foxhounds, was overheard boasting to his police mates that he pretty much owns all of Hardingham. What a dick. We hope that the delay in shooting meant that some of the hares will live to see another day but their future there is awfully bleak either way. From there we headed to Tilney St Lawrence to check that the West Norfolks were behaving themselves. We arrived, with Norfolk/Suffolk sabs in attendance, to a rider laying a trail along the road. Hounds minus a huntsman, or anyone else, spilled out onto the road eventually followed by Norfolk County Councillor Bill 'Big Fanny' Borrett and some of the field and eventually huntsman Mikey 'Doughboy' Bell asking us what time it was because as well as being a shit huntsman he can't tell the time either. After holding up traffic in the road they turned into a field, hung around some hay bales and headed back to the meet at just after 1:30pm. We can't be sure what happened prior to our arrival but hounds did appear clean so hopefully a trail was followed from the off. Continued in comments.

Today with a friend from @nottinghamhuntsabs in tow, we headed over to Kettlethorpe Hall, home of notorious government expenses swindler Douglas "moat cleaning" Hogg. There, we found Phillip Stubbings and the rest of the Blankney hunt. From the meet, the hunt headed south at pace in an attempt to put distance between themselves and us, on numerous occasions crossing busy A roads. True to form, whenever sabs arrive at a Blankney meet they soon revert to laying trails and actually obey the law... see, it can be done! Shame it has only taken them 20 years! Philip continued south towards Wigsley Wood, then west towards South Clinton, north along the Trent Valley and then turning east along Trent Lane just north of North Clifton. The huntsman then took his pack across yet another busy A road, this time the A1133. They continued in a north easterly direction until they reached and crossed the A57. From there the hunt hacked back up to the meet with the hounds being boxed up at Hall Farm just to the East at just quarter to two with not a kill in sight thanks to the work of our small but mighty foot team! Hit Report Monday 05/02/24 Thurlow Hunt Hobbles Green The hunt set off north to Deynes House, continued on to the plantations near Keepers Cottage/ Beetons Plantation with Elliot putting his hounds through hedgerows, brambles, areas of rough ground and the small plantations all the way. Crossing the road north to Dowells Farm, sabs spotted a fox make a break from the eastern side of a large patch of brambles but scared back in by hunt staff. Hounds followed and went pretty quiet for a while. ‘Countryman’ Dean and Vestey were seen to return to the brambles on quads when sabs had followed the hounds out and east towards Pond Plantations. So, one of our Bumblebee crew chased over to the bramble area from the road to thoroughly check it out but found no blood or other evidence of a kill. Hounds were also checked for blooded muzzles and were found to be clean so we're pretty sure the lucky fox escaped. Elliot put his hounds through the triangular covert north of Jonathan's Farm. Here the hounds rioted on a hare with hunt staff doing little to stop them but narrowly escaped as sabs managed to lift hounds heads with voice calls. Hunt returned to Pond Plantations and then towards Mot's End, flushed Eleven Acre Wood and then south to Fairsteade Cottage where Elliot second horsed at approximated 1.20pm. From here Elliot unsuccessfully put his hounds through the covert East of Pounds Green and continued south past the Alpaca farm. Last time we saw the Thurlow here was in November when visiting Norfolk huntsman Mikey Bell caused chaos and out of control hounds scared the alpacas. Luckily, this time Elliot managed to keep the hounds on the road and continued back to Hobbles Green. Crossing the road they headed straight down the bridal path to Norley Moat, across the road to put hounds through Wagdells Wood west of the kennels. Hounds were seen on a line, running at pace out of the field north and across the road. Elliot and his Whipper In looked panicked and not in control of the hounds at all at this point. Sabs called the hounds back and luckily they lost their line. Elliot's horse was looking really unhappy and after briefly returning to Wagdell's the hunt packed.

Hit Report Monday 29/01/2024 - 11am Thurlow Hunt, Rectory Farm, Balsham. The hunt, led by huntsman Elliot Stokes, set off from the back of the meet towards the wind farm. After the hunt were seen to be actively putting hounds through several of the small plantations in the area, foot sabs heard an animal briefly screeching near to where the hounds were seen in thick brambles. The second Whip told sabs it was a frightened rabbit but we had no visual confirmation of this. However, sabs searched the area and checked the hounds for blooded muzzles and found nothing so we assume whoever it was had escaped. The hunt then headed south across the main road. Hunt and hounds were dangerously all over the road causing chaos to other road users. As riders arrogantly blocked the road, angry drivers seriously showed the hunt how they felt and cheered us on as our foot sabs ran ahead to catch up with the hounds. The foot team followed the hunt south and west onto the byway as Elliot flushed hedgerows, ending up close to Great Abington village. Heading East again, then North the hunt entered Balsham Wood where Elliot put in his hounds near the water tower and flushed north to south. Unsuccessful, Elliot returned to the byway and the hunt went west, then north, crossing the road to hunt the area behind the meet again. But as they were being closely watched and disrupted by sabs at every turn and were completely unsuccessful with their activities they soon returned to the meet and packed up the hounds at 3.30pm. Poor old Vestey, millionaire owner of the Thurlow Hunt had a very uneventful day and was clearly very grumpy and red faced to see us. No kills for the killers again! As always, thanks to the lovely local people who send us intel on the hunt's whereabouts prior to and during the day's hunting. 23rd December, 2023- West Norfolk Foxhounds at Little Massingham House, Norfolk Can it be? Have the West Norfolks finally seen the light? The cynic in us will reserve judgement for the time being but yesterday saw this hunt follow a trail again. We, alongside pals from @nshuntsabs went along to keep an eye on them. After much waiting around they crossed to Nut Wood where hounds ran across the field and then followed the margins of several more fields. At Wedding Barn they knocked back some alcohol and food, (didn't offer us any- rude), and Lizzie Case, who wasn't riding this week, made a point of telling us where the trail layer would be heading and what time they were likely to pack up. Sure enough the trail layer, hunt master and stand in for the Demon Headmaster, Andrew Kendall, headed off exactly where we were told he would go over to Grimston Heath in a loop and back to the meet. We stayed with them, they did their thing and headed back to the meet for a 3pm pack up. We'd like to believe that they're legitimately trail hunting for the right reasons but suspect it's more due to damage control after the fox that was killed in a garden in Hingham and the upcoming court case but whatever the reason, it's a huge step in the right direction and we hope it continues this way. Stranger things have happened although we're yet to see huntsman Mikey Bell crack a smile. Soggy day for South Notts. One of our team jumped in with our good friends @nottinghamhuntsabs today and headed over to give South Notts yet another midweek visit. Honestly with riders of single figures and only 2 support vehicles we are wondering why they even bother. It was an embarrassing spectacle from start to finish. A Cardboard cutout of Robert would of had more luck keeping his hounds together, with numerous times field riders having to stay behind to gather stray ones, to hounds narrowly missing being hit by vehicles as they held up traffic trying to get from one waterlogged field to another. Their lack of enthusiasm was only more evident as they cast the hounds through the same Elephant grass they hunt week on week, Funny place to lay a trail? Sabs also witnessed a hound with quite a serious Polyp and the youngest member of the hunt striking a hound with his crop for having the audacity of running past his pony. We can only hope that the hound with the wound gets the veterinary care it needs. Thankfully though we were in the right place to help a fox as it broke free from the grass to safety. Always a win for us 🦊 The dismantled railway and a national cycle route were their next port of call as the afternoon wore on, Many of the field (we say many, there were barely any to begin with) just standing around on their horses until they could be told they were let off and could go home. Robert then packed his hounds up just after 3 pm and we set off home for some vegan mince pies and mulled wine (it is Christmas after all😆) We love supporting our fellow sab teams and will go out as often as we can to help them bring this hunt to it's final chapter. 🚨Burton hunt kill a fox 16/12/23 🚨 Today we paid yet another visit to the Burton, this time they met at Rookery Farm in Cold Hanworth. Being the creature of habit that we have come to know huntsman Neil is, we ensured we were in position to keep eyes on the meet in anticipation for a prompt 11 o'clock start and true to form they set off bang on time. From the meet Neil took the pack west, working the hounds through an unnamed covert and on towards glebe farm. The hunt then headed south hunting along the irrigation ditch towards Mill Lane. He continued south in to a large pocket of land where the now all too familiar theme of hunting vast swathes of elephant grass began. Between our foot team and vehicle team we kept the hunt in sight as they worked their way west across to Eastfield Farm House before pushing north hunting through more large elephant grass fields putting up foxes and hares left right and centre our foot sabs being on hand to mask the scent on six occasions. Neil and his very vocal pack of hounds pinballed back and forth between the various crop fields desperate for a kill. As the day wore on and our stoical foot sabs began to tire we were greeted by the welcome sight of our friends from @nottingham hunt saboteurs who had decided to join the party having packed up the Blankney. Between the two teams we tracked them back south to the elephant grass fields at Diamond Farm. Notts foot sabs sticking to him like glue chanced upon something none of us ever wish to see. A disembowelled fox. We're saddened that we couldn't save this fox from a disgusting and barbaric fate but we take heart knowing the number of lives lost would have been far greater without our presence. CAUGHT HUNTING FOXES Despite various Monitors and Sabs working tightly together to stop him, Henry Bailey we still caught him out illegally hunting. This was Saturday 9.12.23 and representatives from Cheshire Monitors, Shropshire Wildlife Monitors Staffordshire Hunt Sabs Derby Hunt Saboteurs and Manchester Hunt Sabs all bust a gut to get in the Wynnstay huntsmans way. Fortunately despite incidents like in the stills from our film seen here happening throughout the day we managed to stop him 🦊 This was a joint meet of the Wynnstay and North Shropshire Hunt with large numbers of riders and support. It was exhausting keeping up with this blatant and brazen huntman because he spent a lot of time trying to get away from us We watched Bailey get more and more stressed and down cast as the day went on and as usual for him, support and even terriermen were telling us that we were doing better than they were at keeping tabs on him. What a dreadfully embarrassing day for the Wynnstay it was, being surrounded by animal welfare individuals, and by around lunchtime most of the Shropshire riders and support had left. 𝗠𝗨𝗗, 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗔𝗕𝗦! Saturday 9th December 2023 Cottesmore Hunt Castle View Stud, Whissendine, Rutland Tip off hotline - 📞 07936 001015 Northants sabs were joined by our comrades from @northdownshuntsabs @hertfordshire_hunt_saboteurs as the Cottesmore gathered for a later than usual start at Castle View Stud near Whissendine. The atrocious weather conditions were not going to be a consideration for the fanatical fox killers of the Cottesmore as they left the meet at 12.20 pm and immediately started to draw the banks of Whissendine Brook. Sabs were immediately in the field as the hunt consisting of fourteen field riders and staff turned to cross Pickwell Lane. Sabs from North Downs relentlessly trailed Sam Jones and hounds as Northants sabs moved to an area south of Stygate Lane. It was here that hounds could be heard to ‘go into cry’ and as both groups of sabs closed in hunt riders’ tempers began to flare. Sam repeatedly bought his hounds to area around Melton Meat Ltd where a fox had clearly taken refuge in a hedge row. Sabs moved in rating hounds and using whip cracks to disrupt them. Sam took his hounds onto Stygate Lane before returning to the area again and again sabs moved in eventually moving the hunt on. One field rider was dismounted by her own horse and a fit of pique screamed at one sab that he should be dealt with like one Northants sab had been recently by the Cottesmores head terrier man, Gary McCann. The action then moved east of Northfield farm where sabs chased huntsman down again against the strengthening wind. Both teams of sabs worked together to ensure Sam Jones and hounds were always in sight. Some pathetic shenanigans and road blocking by the Cottesmores remaining supporters including meet host Matthew Mackley delayed sabs only temporarily but like the Cottesmore hunt itself it turned out to be a busted flush with nowhere to go. As dusk fell sabs tracked huntsman and hounds through fields north of Cold Overton as they headed towards Main Street before crossing the A606. North Downs sabs confirmed the hunt had returned to the meet and had packed up as Northants (see comments)
9th December 2023 - Dunston Harriers at Crown Farm, Deopham. Oh how the (not really that) mighty have fallen (further)... Last time we sabbed this meet a few years ago, there were over 20 riders and a good amount of vehicle support. Today, it was a pound shop huntsman and 4 hangers-on. We joined @sono.sabs and @nshuntsabs to sab this straightforward meet for one of the region's most pathetic hunts; stiff competition for that title these days! Not much to report, as once they saw sabs the hunt pretty much just stuck to the road. Biggest surprise of the day was seeing that Crown Farm (the hunt's meet) had a Palestinian flag flying outside! See other groups' photos for evidence. Hunt packed up before 2pm, so we headed home for roast dinner (no turkeys involved). To the hunt: just go clean boot. Today we sabbed the Burton hunt. Huntsman Neil, promptly left the meet (scampton house) at 11am. He headed east towards scampton airfield and pushed north towards pits plantation where unfortunately for Neil, he bumped into our good friends @sheffieldhuntsaboteurs who had joined us for the day. Neil then went north east to cammeringham top covert and continued to hunt various coverts all the way over to the A15 before looping back around to half acre plantation. Neil rode west to end the day in an exceptionally large field of elephant grass crop where the hounds were in and out of cry. The support spent much of their day obstructing the highway In an attempt to block in our vehicles. One supporter even instructed his two very young daughters to stand in the road to stop us from getting past. A fantastic team effort from 3 foot teams meant that we had them on the move all day which is probably why Neil decided to pack up at an uncharacteristically early time of 8 minutes to 3! Although, Neil struggled to get control of his hounds at the end of the day and probably could have packed at least half an hour earlier! We saw a beautiful kestrel outside of the meet at the start of the day and again at the end of the day, we guess that they had a better day hunting than Neil did! 25th November 2023 - West Norfolk Foxhounds and Waveney and Norfolk Harriers - Bylaugh Hall, Norfolk Yesterday we joined @nshuntsabs and headed to Bylaugh to this joint meet. We were expecting a decent turnout in numbers given how small their last few ride outs have been but apparently the amalgamated harriers could only spare one or two, (the rest were out hunting in Wissett), so numbers were still teeny tiny. This was, again much like last week, an attempt at trail hunting with a piss rag from a magic unicorn bag being dragged along when they knew they were being watched but a return to form when they thought no one was looking as was the case over by Beck Hall when hounds were spotted flushing through some scrub. Luckily Norfolk/Suffolk sabs were on them and as soon as Bernie Lomax stunt double and West Norfolk huntsman, Mikey Bell, realised he'd been spotted he called his hounds out and galloped off. Nice to see Norfolk County Councillor Bill Borrett out riding again this week. The facial foliage removal was a good shout as a disguise, Bill, we almost didn't recognise you but Halloween is over and you're scaring the children. After a couple of hours of this yawn fest borne from clearly not knowing how to trail hunt they threw up their withered hands and went back to the meet, boxing up at just after 2pm. Special thanks to the Hi-Lux driving Bluto lookalike for confirming they were finished, very kind of you. 18th November 2023 - West Norfolk Foxhounds - Waterloo Farm, Hindringham, Norfolk Yesterday we went to keep an eye on the West Norfolks to see if they really can stick to trail hunting. The conclusion? Mostly but not entirely. We teamed up with South Norfolk Hunt Saboteurs and Norfolk/Suffolk Hunt Saboteurs and followed Mikey 'Dough Boy' Bell and his 14 pals along The Street and onto a track. From here they did a bit of to and fro from roads to fields within the couple of fields they'd been allocated looking as though they were following a couple of short trails. Then there was a lot of standing around in said fields looking very bored. They eventually moved off onto village roads into the grounds of Godfrey's Hall where Norfolk/Suffolk sabs saw a fox go to ground. Hounds were then seen getting onto the line but were, thankfully, unable to locate it. At this point police had turned up outside the hall after hunt following weirdo, serial police time waster and general all round gimp Annabel had put in a call with some made up story about sabs. A couple of sabs were pulled over but let go whilst Dough Boy and his hounds had gone back to the area the fox had been seen in. *Eye roll* With sabs still in sight the Doughy One called it a day and slunk back to the meet and boxed up just after 2pm which meant we had time to go pill box spotting. Noice. Posted @withregram • @hunt_saboteurs 📢 APPEAL FOR INFORMATION 📢 The HSA is today appealing for sight of videos that it is aware are circulating on sick hunting WhatsApp groups. 📽️ One video of interest shows former Avon Vale Hunt master and serial animal abuser Stuart Radbourne throwing a live fox to his hounds in front of hunt supporters – including a child – on Christmas Eve, 2020. This sickening incident appears to be a carbon-copy of the infamous 2022 video in which Radbourne and others are seen throwing one live fox to the hounds, and shrieking with delight as another terrified fox is bolted from her earth. 📽️ Additionally, the HSA is aware of another video that shows masters of the West Norfolk Foxhounds releasing two bagged foxes at a meet of the hunt a few years ago. The HSA understands that this video has been seen by police, but that no further action was taken against the perpetrators. The West Norfolk Hunt hit the national news earlier this year when CCTV cameras picked them up killing a fox in a householder’s patio. 📽️ Finally, the HSA is interested in a recent video that shows the Midlands-based Dove Valley Minkhounds using a pole to knock a mink from a tree into the jaws of the baying pack below. Regardless of police action or inaction, these videos show the criminal reality behind the orchestrated smokescreen of ‘trail hunting’ and we believe the public have a right to see them. We therefore urge anyone in possession of these videos – or any other such material – to send them to the HSA. We receive intelligence from within hunting on a daily basis and guarantee 100% confidentiality to all sources – no matter what side of the hunting fence you sit on.
