ENG: Currently working on 2 models. First one is SU-33D from Zvezda (1/72) and i wasn´t very comfortable with just black colors on joystick, so, i painted it like cockpit in DCS World. Second one is Mig-21MF from Academy (1/48). It will be another part of my Hogwarts unit, this time its Gryffindor MK2. Both cockpits painted by hand with brush. 🦅 Taking shape now having not made much progress this week because of work. Finally got the invasion stripes on, not perfect but I’m pretty happy with my first attempt, lessons learned. After a week off due to having a horrible cold, I'm back at the @mengmodels EA-18 😁 I had to do a bit of sanding on the underside where the paint was rough and then did another coat of the light grey. Update and progress on the mighty foxhound: my impressions of the kit are absolutely off the charts, everything is engineered super well and the fit is equally as good. 1/200 scale Freelancer MAX by JR Design Fabrication from the game Star Citizen. This is an entirely 3d printed kit, and my first time doing a kit like this. It was an interesting experience and I've learned a lot from it. This type of resin can be difficult work with, it tends to be on the brittle side and smaller parts can break if you aren't careful. I actually managed to break the main windscreen in half when cleaning off the support attachments, but I was able to repair it using clear UV curing resin and you almost cant even tell anymore. The kit also provides optional parts for the landing gear and main door, so that they can be displayed in a landed/open configuration or inflight. The optional parts are all secured by magnets (which are also provided). Painting was done with @vallejocolors acrylics over a @tamiyausa white primer base.
