I’m not a huge fan of the Eurovision Song Contest, but April 30th 1994 changed my life forever. I was in my room and my dad called me down to watch something on TV. It turned out to be Riverdance. In 95’ Riverdance the show came out and then Lord of the dance premiered in 96’. It was around this time I became obsessed with Irish dancing and I started teaching myself in secret from the videos. When I was 18, I started with a dance school, which was when I learnt what a treble was and that I could actually do one. I did a few competitions and didn’t do too bad (all things considered), then at 19 I started touring with shows. I wound up dancing with lord of the dance for nearly 8 years and got to dance with a number of people I’d admired since the start of this crazy journey. Including Michael Flatley. If it wasn’t for Riverdance performing at the Eurovision in 94, I wouldn’t have been introduced to Irish dancing and wouldn’t be where I am today. I’ll be eternally grateful for @riverdance and the doors it opened for me. It changed my life in so many ways. 🫗Надо уметь проигрывать Первое правило любого спортсмена. Сегодня мне и другим танцорам из @iridan_kaliningrad повезло меньше, чем хотелось. Из нашей возрастной четверки только Настя закрыла 1 танец. Что ж, старожилы ирландских танцев предупреждали, что плато -смерти- праймари переходит не каждый, многие так и остаются на этом уровне навсегда. Сегодня было тяжело по многим причинам: 🔞 из-за объединения возрастных категорий. Мы, ребята предпенсионного возраста 😅, соревновались в категории 16-38 лет, либо просто в 16+, если вы понимаете, о чем я. 😮💨 так как дети станцевали вчера, то по большинству танцев у нас была только 1 линейка танцоров, а это означает, что между танцами просто не было перерывов для тех, кто заявил много танцев, то есть для меня. Я уходила со сцены с пульсом 130-140 и возвращалась на нее через 1-3 минуты, едва нормализовав пульс до 110-120. 🫠 я не люблю утренние соревнования, я встала в 5:15, чтоб собраться, но еда в меня так и не влезла. В итоге на 5ом танце вся сила ушла поддерживать ноги, оставив мою голову на произвол судьбы, и я не просто забыла степ, я даже сымпровизировать не смогла, хотя делаю это регулярно 🤣 🥵 час, который я заложила на прогон танцев в практис руме, особо не помог, так как не то что танцевать, там дышать было нечем: помещение слишком маленькое, окна не открываются, кондиционер не работает. После такого разогрева я выползла оттуда чуть ли не с инфарктом и пульсом 149. 🫣 в некоторых категориях мы соревновались с танцорами интермедиат уровня, и они заняли первые места. Се ля ви! В общем, я рада тому факту, что я выдержала этот марафон и у меня не случился пердечный сриступ. 🏆 По медалькам расклад такой: одно серебро 🥈 за Primary Single Jig, остальное - ниже 3 места.
